Wait, are you saying you will accept tariffs if they were done by congress? If so, that's a big change in my perception of your post regarding tariffs...

My perception has been that tarrifs are bad and will cause inflation and "be damned" the people that would receive these jobs.

I don't really understand your point. If you're speaking of genetics and precursors, those are made usually outside the country. That has nothing to do with the fact that manufacturing is happening in NC and that is now in danger due to policy.

I still think tariffs are stupid and taxes, but yes, if we didn't declare every tariff a national security issue, and Congress did their job instead of tariffs being raised and lowered and initiated daily, I wouldn't like it but I'd except it.

Wrong. Changing the name requires a legal act of congress - something you usually seem to adamant about adhering to without fail unless your dear leader does it. Trump's executive order merely added a preferred name to the department while the legal name of DoD remains. Glad you snowflakes care about preferred nouns all of a sudden.
