The "Great Big" white hope for the libs!!

No way! Obviously Gavin Newsom is America's favorite governor.

A quick google search show you are talking out of your @$$ again as GN comes in #42 out of 50.

I'm pretty sure it's a joke.

But I love how, instead of just acknowledging that polls (especially aggregated polls) are really a pretty darn good indicator of public sentiment, many people on here just randomly love or hate polls based on the poll result.

My White Knight!? Okay. I never know with Smapty. He gets crazy and goes full tard sometimes.

Anything on Mr. Newsom coming in at #42 out of 50?

It's unsurprising and why he's not a fit for President.

He's the governor of California and on one hand runs the 4th largest economy in the world and on the other the most liberal state in the Union.

Having that distinction will make you fairly unpopular in a lot of circles, fair or not, no matter how big the economic drivers are.

I agree with this, Newsom is unelectable at the federal level.

I am curious as to who you think should (not necessarily will be) the Dem's choice for 2028

Trump is the most unelectable nutcase in human history, but here we are. So sorry guys... if Newsom is the only Dem on the bench willing to shed the librarian act and show some backbone then he will be the candidate in 2028.

Besides... only in our right-wing tilted political discourse is "4th largest economy on Earth (and growing), most liberal state in the union" something that we're supposed to be ashamed of. It's a fact that Newsom should ram down everyone's throat.

Massive question right now.

Who would I want it to be? Cuban. But that's a pipe dream. He doesn't want that job and I don't blame him.

I think Buttigieg, Pritzker, Shapiro, and Beshear are the combination of the most ready/capable/electable (to me) out of the field of people I think could run. I haven't researched it or thought about it enough to have a favorite amongst that group.

But thanks for spending the time to google a fake poll. NDS!

Hahaha! "Everyone" on CNN?

You are truly welcome my friend. If there is anything else I can enlighten you on please don't hesitate to ask.

Hey Civ….looks like Smapty's @$$ talking wasn't a joke and now he's calling your polling fake? I don't know which one of you is right?

Hey, I'm thrilled that you suddenly trust google!

Anyway, great job finding a fake NDS poll. The real number is easily 80%! Literally everyone is wearing these now...

Do you have one?

Civ…is this poll fake?

It's called parody man. He's pulling a Newsom and parodying Trump/MAGA. This is the same crazy **** we hear all the time from Trump acolytes.

I love the bulldog in him. Love him holding up the mirror to Trump's inanity these last few weeks. Just like I love (and evidently Trump loves) AOC's gumption. She's a damn dog and I love that fight in anybody, in any occupation or station in life.

But they're not electable nationally. They're just not. The left already fought and lost that battle with Kamala being seen as too far left in 2024. It would be political seppuku for the Dems to go down that road again in 28.

California has the fourth largest economy despite of Newsom and the damage he's done thanks to the overwhelming population. Why is that difficult for you?

LOLOL

Smapty and me are cool regardless, man. We don't need to have full alignment on all our opinions.

How exactly do you want me to weigh in on whether the poll is real, if you're not telling us anything about where you got it from, who did it, or anything else?

Nobody can ever tell if a poll is real without at least knowing those things.

I'd be curious to see how Buttigieg would fare.

A++ thinker and communicator. Extraordinarily capable.

He polled poorly with religious black and Hispanic voters in past primaries because of his sexuality though.

Republicans would of course go low and hold him up as being a get woke/go broke candidate. They'd be completely wrong about the reason for his nomination (he's probably the most adept communicator and speaker in the field).

But I have no idea whether he could overcome the anti-woke campaign sure to come from the right, and the historic electoral bias against him from religious black and Hispanic voters.

I think Buttigieg (and Pritzker for that matter) are also unelectable at the federal level. Mayor Pete didnt exactly endear himself as head of the DOT and as for Pritzker...good luck selling a billionaire governor of Illinois as a viable candidate nationally

My current hope on the Dem side is Shapiro. It would be a good shift back towards the middle, which is something I want from both sides.

Ok, here's another disagreement I have with Trump. Part of, what appears to be, a new deal with China, is to allow as many as 600k Chinese to come to the US for education.

In general, the Chinese people are not the problem; however, potentially allowing that many students, within a deal with Chine, is not America first!

I'm not sure that's a real number.

We've been as high as 330K Chinese students, in the last 5-10 years. Currently, I think we are around 250K Chinese students. The 600K came right out of Trumps mouth, as I recall…

He should have learned to speak English all those years in the U.S. I was in Entebbe 2018-2019 (working Mogadishu) and that is what they speak in Uganda.

Buttigieg is the man. But yeah, I suspect Kamala losing had more to do with those same black and Hispanic voters not being willing to vote for a woman. So to be extra safe the left should probably stick with a strait white dude this time. Or Obama again, lol. Didn't Trump say they get three terms now?

But we can assume that literally anyone Dems run, once they get cranked through the MAGA Cinematic Universe, will be portrayed as Karl Marx Jr (never mind that Trump is literally the second coming of Mao)... so worrying about the left/right thing and what "they" will say is probably a loser's game.

I wouldn't hate Shapiro as the candidate at all. He's a smart, likable, relatable, competent candidate.

I get what you're saying about Pritzker but I don't think Illinois is seen in nearly the same light as California, and I think the billionaire businessman background is a net positive not negative. He doesn't seem like he came from the swamp. And I think he's definitely got that bulldog in him too.

On Mayor Pete I question his electability too but I don't think most Americans have a clue about what he did as head of DOT. Hell I don't even know and I follow this stuff fairly closely.

At least I know what socialism is.

Clearly you don't if you think that is, but keep swinging.

extraordinary times....my friend....

We placed Japanese in internment camps during WW2......which is in contrast to our values of liberty and justice. We are currently in a war of greater magnitude than way back then....yes, the stakes are much greater now. Stay tuned!

I saw an article, however, pertinent to both our concerns and i will see if i can relocate it and share... suggested it was some sort of a trial to evaluate such an arrangement as beneficial for enterprises that were high cost and vital to our security....Breitbart i think it was

I certainly understand the vital national interest for the US, regarding Intel. That said, taking an equity position is very troubling to me. He'll, didn't we do that, in some degree, diuring the 2008 financial mess (created by some of Smapty's ilk)?

We bailed out Chrysler years ago too, and I don't disagree with you.

Love the bulletin board material here from the lefties......a gleam in their eyes as they look forward to 2026 and 2028, LOL.

The Government buying a stake in a private company after the President calls for his resignation? Tell me since I'm the stupid one here apparently what it is.

Google it. It's pretty stupid to say that's socialism though. You should educate yourself before so arrogantly calling someone else dumb.

The "Great Big" white hope for the libs!!

No way! Obviously Gavin Newsom is America's favorite governor.

A quick google search show you are talking out of your @$$ again as GN comes in #42 out of 50.

Not a joke, everyone is saying it.

Strange, I thought he was left about everything.
