Hey cool! Trump is finally on the chapter in Dictatoring for Dummies where he's trying to normalize and get everyone numb to having federal troops on American streets all the time. You know... "conservative" stuff.
Herp de derp! Cracker Barrell!!! DURP!
Well the democrats had DECADES to police those very same streets and look how that has turned out.
I know it disappoints you but no one has been murdered in D.C. in over week. Go TRUMP!
Ironic. Not a peep out of him when the previous administration routinely broke the law and did actual dictatorial things.
So that makes it ok? I always see this argument but I dont get it.
This argument also leaves out the matter of degree.
Yeah, like creating felonies in an attempt to jail your political rivals. A matter of degree lol.
Yes like Presidents that sit on their tiny hands, encouraging a deadly riot at the capital that has Senators and the VP running for their lives.
Like Presidents who try to overturn free and fair elections.
Like Presidents who fire up their own cryptocurrency as a means to accept untraceable bribes from anyone in the world.
Like Presidents whose companies run tax fraud schemes.
Whose "universities" get shut down for deceptive practices.
Whose charities get shut down for fraud.
And on and on.
A matter of degree lol.
This speaks more to your hysterical TDS than any dictatorship. You still don't acknowledge Nancy Pelosi's role in your make believe insurrection.
But you're ok with made up felonies. Baaaaaaaa
Sheep.
Yes, please explain in clear terms how Nancy ****ing Pelosi was responsible for the insurrection. This should be rich.
The same Nancy Pelosi whose husband was nearly murdered by a loon who - get this - was a huge QANon guy and big believer in Trump's fake 2020 election fraud claims.
Which was the same attempted murder that Trump taunted and asked mockingly "How's your husband doing" and made jokes about how the wall around her house didn't work.
Which was the same attempted murder that some loony Republicans spread conspiracy theories about, the icing on the cake since their Pelosi conspiracy theories prior to the attempted murder probably played into the wannabe murderer loon's motivations.
You can't make this stuff up.
Maybe I wrong but couldn't Mrs. Pelosi have authorized Capital Police or some other enforcement agency? Why did she not?
Mrs. Pelosi's husband is a ghey man and had a stranger in their house on a drunken fueled late night hook up.
Sometimes to truth is just what it looks like.
This post sums up the impossibility of rational conversation about most of this stuff when it gets analyzed through such a foggy and conspiratorial lens on here.
"Couldn't Mrs. Pelosi have authorized Capital Police or some other enforcement agency?"
In what capacity? She's the speaker of the house. She doesn't control or oversee or direct the Capitol Police or the National Guard. She's on video the day of the riots doing her best to coordinate and feed relevant info to the feds and others as she hunkered down in the Capitol but what exactly do you want her to do while her life is in jeopardy and with her not having controlling authority of the police or Guard?
And what does that even mean? Authorize them to do what, prevent the President from inciting an insurrection? Maybe the bigger problem there is that the President incited an insurrection and then sat on his hands pouting while his closest advisers and family freaked out around him about how he needed to put an end to the chaos he'd wrought because he's a big fat baby and couldn't handle losing the election?
At worst, couldn't, you know, the President have authorized or facilitated the very same law enforcement if he actually wanted to stop the riots? That answer is obvious - he didn't want to stop them.
And Pelosi's husband's attempted murderer got convicted of being what he is, which is an alt-right conspiracy-fueled mentally ill QAnon attempted murderer.
Somehow victim-blaming her husband for almost dying by a hammer to the skull because of rumors about his sexuality (and who cares if he's gay, he doesn't deserve to get bludgeoned to death by a loon) is wild but illustrative of exactly where the right is with so much of this stuff.
I can't imagine thinking this stuff much less saying it out loud.
