His popularity is 8-10 points lower today than it was on Election Day so I doubt very much he'd win by more today than he did then. That's not a logical conclusion. Keep in mind he also had the benefit of running against an infirm lame duck Dem that should have been enjoying his twilight years with his family, and then against that guy's emergency replacement.

I think it's a big electoral blunder for the right to extrapolate too much from that win and think they've suddenly cornered the market on the electorate, especially for culture war reasons. Trump won because he was running against weak candidates, immigration, and post-Covid inflation.

As an aside I'm glad to see you falling right in with the board's typically childish "how does that taste you losing loser" conversation contributions.

Did I spend Biden's four years on here telling righties to take it, and make sure to relax and enjoy it? No I did not. I didn't single posters out then and I don't do it now.

Again, I don't know why it's so hard to just talk about the our leader's actions and inactions and the perceptions of their behaviors amongst the electorate without bringing posters into it.

Civ, I don't even know if the search of Bolton's home was about classified documents or if he has any in his possession or not. That seems to be what the media is speculating that this raid is about, but will have to wait for the warrant to be released.

My point wasn't about who has been caught with classified material over the years and whether they obstruct when confronted about it, but rather the outrage of Democrats, establishment Republicans and the media about the end of democracy and this DOJ having an enemies list for even daring to raid one of Trump's critics.

These same whiners cheered on Biden's DOJ, the FBI and state prosecutors for going after Trump, his administration, advisors and voters and never once uttered the words weaponized prosecution, lawfare or how our democracy was in peril because of it. Big Tish ran for and won New York AG on the platform and promise of specifically going after Trump and taking him down.

So the cries of a weaponized DOJ fall on deaf ears now. These are the new rules and your side established them. So now when unemployed "journalist" Chuck Todd tweets about "two wrongs don't make a right" on going after political opponents with lawfare he gets ratioed because neither he or anyone else on the left said anything about it the last few years.
