Without straining and overworking the half brain cell you have the economy was much different than when the founding fathers were operating the country. Tariffs like the set Trump has imposed will do a lot of harm to our economy because we don't make things here, it will take a while for companies to return industrial plants to America and companies will see how far they stretch the consumer to absorb the costs. Let's say your truck is totaled and you have to buy a new truck for your job. You go to the dealer and now there's an additional 5-7 grand for the truck. That's a reality for a lot of people. Now, you're probably thinking I'll buy a used truck. Well everyone else is thinking the same way and you'll over pay for the value of the truck. This is all just dumb and completely unnecessary.
Had they thought this through and moved plants to mexico over a five year period, that would have been great .
I love how Leftists are crying crocodile tears over supposed increase in costs, that may or may not actually happen.
Where have commie Leftists been for decades to speak out against the MUCH MORE IMPORTANT factors causing high costs -- such as skyrocketing government spending and debt that is causing inflation, or insanely burdensome taxes that dramatically increase the cost of everything.
You guys don't really care about increased cost of living. You just are focusing on this issue because you think you can use it against the bad Orange Man. But like usual, you will be wrong yet again, it won't be some "big issue" you can use against him.
