All that chart shows me is there is a spending problem, not a revenue generating one.

Well then I guess you should plan to be stressed about a ballooning deficit for the rest of your life.

The perpetual con that there's always more spending to cut and never enough rich guy tax cuts crashed into reality a long time ago. I guess it'll take another populist revolt or two for you to finally get the memo.
maybe you'll get the memo that SS, Medicare and debt servicing need to be addressed rather than line by line spending amongst federal agencies. That's where we are going to run out of other people's money.

Yes, those represent a massive amount of the spending, today and tomorrow. That said, it's time for zero-based budgeting. Also, start cutting agencies and keep going until this is somewhat manageable! Yes, that includes the military!!

Oooor maybe stop pretending you're in poverty because of our modest tax rate, reverse a couple rich guy tax cuts, and marvel at how SS and Medicare are suddenly just fine. Seems like a fair trade for not having everyone's grandma living in a tent city eating cat food (like in the good ol' days before SS).

Taxing the rich more isn't going to solve this problem. It's too late for that to be the only solution.

It isn't going to solve it but it needs to happen.

The uber-wealthy should have a comparable effective tax rate as the rest of us.

It may have been covered in this thread already, since it was from a week ago.
But did anyone else catch the interview between Trump and Theo Von? (On YouTube)

What a good and "different" side of Trump that the media never tells you about, wow.

The rats don't want the flashlight shown on them. Make sure the guy isn't in position to use the flashlight. Rats control a majority of the politicians, intel agencies and the corporate news media.

I agree with you. Tax the ever living $#*+ out Gates, Bezos, Oprah, MeBron James, Soros, all of Hollywood…etc. Time for these people to pay up!

Trump says Florida's 6-week abortion ban is too short. Good for him. Finally something out of him that makes sense (unlike his comments about the Olympic boxers that he claimed had both "transitioned".)

He also announced that the government is going to pay for everyone's IVF treatments. This is big, people.

Lol, where are all of the hyperventilating questions about why he would do an about face on his policy positions from a month ago? Any chance he's full of it?

I mean it is possible that he doesn't actually have a real position on any issue and just wants to get elected and then let the people that fund him (the crazy Project 2025 people) do whatever they want, but I'm going to take him at his word here and assume that everyone gets free IVF.

"You take a look at bacon and some of these products and some people don't eat bacon anymore. And, uh, we are going to get the energy prices down. When we get energy down, you know this was caused by their horrible energy....wind, they want wind all over the place...but when it doesn't blow we have a little problem." - Donald J Trump, a human being.

Man out here just straight shooting facts.

I mean this is a whole bunch of losing from the breathless right on a topic that is far and away the most common focus of single-issue voters.

So either...

a. Trump is FOS (which would surprise no one) and he's saying this but will do what he wants if elected, or
b. He's changing his policy position to listen to voters and become more moderate/electable (which we should want all politicians to do about a lot of issues, but about which they lambasted Harris for), or
c. He actually has believed this all along, which means both that he's misled many of his constituents previously and also has a policy position on a key tenet of the Republican platform that may alienate the religious right in order to appeal to moderates

Personally I'm glad he's taken up this position though, and don't care why he's done it. Better for all of us if candidates from both sides of the aisle take up reasonable, pragmatic positions on all sorts of issuse.

This election is over. Deep state and WEF have it rigged already. The Republic is over and Socialism and Marxist country we become. Started with killing of JFK and Obama -Biden in office with Soros and Holder taking over the courts and DA's. Brought the enemies from without to within the USA to go with the Clintons and Obama's etc.

In that case, neither He nor Harris get the Tenth Amendment. Medical matters are not supposed to be the purview of the Federal government.
