I'm also staunchly opposed to the Patriot Act and all forms of government spying. And I'm a huge "health nut" that is concerned about all the toxins in our environment and food -- the very things that RFK Jr is working on now. These used to be big issues that Leftists were concerned about. There are "old" clips of Obama and Bill Clinton talking about the need to stop illegal immigration and deport people here illegally. Democrats used to be the ones who were big opponents of NAFTA and shipping our manufacturing jobs overseas.

The political landscape has changed a lot over the past few decades. It could be that we actually have a lot in common, if we didn't go "lock step" into supporting the party line on every issue. And that's for both people on the Left and Right. For example, in the early 2000s, conservatives should have opposed the Patriot Act and the erosion of 4th Amendment rights and use of spying on American citizens. And they should have opposed the Iraq War and all the other useless wars in the mid East. And Leftists, for example, now should not be opposing what RFK Jr is doing, and should not be supporting mass illegal immigration.

I agree, I think the market is hot as well. So, If the market is hot, and it normalizes (which I don't know what the normalized number should be), then peoples 401K will be hurt.

Trump is wanting to reshape the US economy, in ways we haven't see in 30+ years. Tariffs are his tool to do this. Will it work? I really don't know. Also, I really don't think most people know for sure. People are set in their positions and are finding anecdopt points to support their position.
