I think the ban on the guy making the threats of violence to a poster is where the line should have been drawn and Glass made the correct call.
What's a personal attack? Mocking someone's political viewpoint? I hope not.
If it was because of political differences no one would be posting because there wouldn't be a forum. But threatening a poster with physical violence and violence against the sitting POTUS crosses the line. And it will every time. We are just asking every single poster here to treat everyone else with respect. I respect every single one of you regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum. I'd love to at some point meet everyone here. But I have gay and lesbian family members that grew up in Christian homes. Do I condemn them? No I show them the love Jesus would. We weren't put on this earth to judge anyone. hat will be his place when that day comes. I will play no part in that judgement.
Okay fine. I'm all for treating everyone with respect, and not having personal attacks. And I wouldn't "personally" attack any poster here who says they are a homosexual.
However, we should still be able to criticize the LGBTQ agenda...the
ideology, and discuss the pros and cons of various policy across the nation as it relates to "LGBTQ" issues, such as whether men should be allowed in women's sports.
Maybe we are having a "miscommunication" here, and didn't understand exactly what you were saying about the rules here. It sounds like you are talking about clarification on the existing rule against "personal attacks", and are expanding on that to say to not PERSONALLY attack other posters on issues such as ethnicity or LGBTQ.
What I'm saying that I staunchly oppose is the creation of any new rule where we couldn't even have a debate about LGBTQ issues, and post anything critical of the LGBTQ agenda. Or we couldn't ever post anything that could be construed to be critical of any "ethnicity" (in general).
Is that basically what you were saying Glass? You were expounding upon the rule against "personal attacks", and
not some new rule where we can't have debates on ideology that are critical of LGBTQ policy, etc?
