Interesting exchange Melania Trump had with a California woman. Was hard to hear them in the audio provided on X but I was able to hear enough to probably rule out French or Italian. Sounded a bit Slavic so I'm guessing it was her native Slovene. I've heard that MT speaks all three plus English and another language that I forget. Interesting that she's versed in five languages but was considered undereducated relative to the last three First Ladies not including herself, none of whom are known to be multi-lingual.

The problem with the "red tape" is that when you have thousands of displaced people all at once there's a lot of potential for waste/fraud/abuse.
