Hydrant systems aren't designed to put out hundreds of houses at a time, and aren't designed to fight wildfires. No amount of magical tanker trucks full of water shipped in from wherever would have changed the fact that wildfires are fought from the air, and the 100 mile/hour winds that were spreading the fire all over the place made air support impossible.

To act like this was a manageable situation if only they had planned better is hyper-partisan nonsense.
