It's that his premise is significantly divergent from my experience as a father of a teen and a tween that read a lot of good books in school, and divergent from my observations as the spouse of a school teacher.

Interesting enough, it's actually very representative of my experiences; however, my kids (one a senior at NC State and another graduated from High Point) never went to public school. So, you ask... how could I have an experience like oldsouljer?

Generally, I support people who do charitable things without making it about getting credit for doing charitable things. What Trump did was not genuine.

I would say that about anyone who donates to a charity and then advertises their good deeds for political gain. I guess you don't see that he's using the citizens of East Palestine just like the Administration and democrats are trying to do.
