What's inaccurate about saying the incoming administration is looking for vengeance?

They've said as much repeatedly. Trump, Patel, Musk, Don Jr., and others have made that clear.

Several months ago Trump hadn't won the election and then appointed a bunch of goons to law enforcement positions who would certainly have continued hounding Hunter to keep the the MAGA crowd frothing.

And of course if he had demurred when asked it would have turned into a weeklong headline distracting the campaign, given how desperate the media always is to find Dem scandals to balance out Trump's lunacy. There's no way to win this lopsided game.

For me this boils down to do you want retribution or do you want governance? Trump was elected to govern, but his base wants retribution. That's going to be an issue for the next 4 years and beyond.
