Hilarious that they punt it to March 7th to not make themselves look like the fools they are because they just put out a new toolkit like a week ago that included masking recommendations/requirements.

Edit to add, I mean in the schools. Just in the schools. That's all I've heard about. Does not apply to preschools though as those are bound by federal regulations.

We are in Wake but at a charter.
I just learned that a guy i knew from coaching baseball when our kids were little and our kids went thru school together (ie, not closely, but knew who he was) died in January from Covid. He was 50'ish, and seemingly healthy, though I've always thought most of us, especially men, likely over estimate our own level of health.
So while this stupid virus is in free fall right now, it is still not always "just a cold".
I have no idea of his vaccination...though I know his wife actually made it to the Hannity show to speak out against vaccinations, so i suspect he was not.

Well, Durham Co. is not falling in line with Gov. Cooper's new guidance on mask mandates. I am not surprised, since they have had the most stringent Covid policies throughout the pandemic. They will likely be the last county in NC to drop indoor mask mandates.
Opposite of this is Wake Forest, NC. Tonight, my wife and I went to one of our favorite eating spots, in a town with NO indoor mask mandate. Walked in maskless to see all employees and patrons also maskless. Just like old times. I have choices where I spend my money and I have purposely sought out restaurants that give me the option if I want to wear a mask or not. This means I do not spend any money in Durham Co.

Knew this was coming but still very disappointed. Fortunately one of my regular dining spots does not require it. I've avoided the downtown "hip" spots because it's part of a lot of their religion.

WCPSS has offered in-person instruction during much of the past two years due largely to the tremendous efforts of staff and families willing to follow the health guidance of state and local officials. While the relaxed health guidelines do not mark the end of the pandemic, it does signal a new phase for this virus.
Health officials have repeatedly stressed the importance of vaccinations in slowing spread. Our high vaccination rate puts our district on solid footing once face coverings become optional. In the meantime, if your child is not feeling well, please have them stay home and get tested.
More details will be provided once a specific effective date is determined by the Board of Education.

I need to find that clip from Fauci near the end of January (when cases were already post peak) where he said he was expecting cases to peak in mid February.

This is good news. I assume the effective date will need to be coordinated with the counties mask mandate. They will not be able to lift the school mask mandate if the county indoor mask mandate is still in effect. I would assume the dates will become more clear next week, after the different boards have an opportunity to meet. With Monday being a government holiday, I would assume it will be later next week.Civilized said:

And I'm not aware of anyone predicting that the vaccines would "kill everyone within 6 months". That seems to be a strawman argument. What I've heard from people opposing these vaccines who believe that they are a bioweapon, is that they believe that the vaccines have different effects on different people. Some people will (and have) been killed within days, weeks, or months of taking the shots (from heart attacks, blood clots, etc). Others may die within a few years from having their immune systems weakened by taking multiple shots and boosters -- eg, as we are now seeing with many of the vaxxed having cancers aggressively spread and kill them. There are also reports about the vaccines seriously harming women's fertility and causing miscarriages. All of these things add up to the vaccines advancing the agenda of the Satanic elites for worldwide human population reduction.

Lost an Aunt last night at 74. She has been ill, in and out of hospital, not following medical advice, etc. but contracted Covid and lasted less than a week. I'm conflicted on how that SHOULD be listed on cause of death. She was unvaccinated and I do wonder if it would have made a difference.
