This is something I called out a LONG time ago.

Now we get to see if Wake Co. and some of the other large county school systems act on this guidance on schools or if they continue to dig in their heels and keep school mask mandates. Please note, they now say schools are "lower-risk" settings. Something we have known, since vaccinations for teachers were made available. Finally politicians are catching up to the science.
I am waiting for the comments on Twitter that start of with, "but the CDC says."BREAKING: North Carolina’s new COVID guidance for schools is out, recommending districts “consider moving to voluntary masking…as universal masking is a less important tool in lower-risk settings like schools.”

Exactly! This has been BS from the start. Take the masks off people. Take them off your kids. You are destroying their development.GuerrillaPack said:"connecting the dots"Werewolf said:

When you start doing that, that's how you become a "conspiracy theorist".

My kid's school board just held an emergency meeting and rescinded mask rules immediately! (Hopefully youth sports is next!)
It is a start. We need all the mandates gone.

My wife's county just had emergency meeting and made masks optional.

No. Person. Live in Durham. I imagine Durham will hold out as long as they can.

Durham will continue recommending masking. Officials said they will continue to monitor Omicron variant case numbers a few weeks longer as they wait for new guidance from the NC Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Disease Control. @WRAL

Fellas, all of this is not about a virus. It's real life tyranny

Well, Durham Co. is not falling in line with Gov. Cooper's new guidance on mask mandates. I am not surprised, since they have had the most stringent Covid policies throughout the pandemic. They will likely be the last county in NC to drop indoor mask mandates.
Opposite of this is Wake Forest, NC. Tonight, my wife and I went to one of our favorite eating spots, in a town with NO indoor mask mandate. Walked in maskless to see all employees and patrons also maskless. Just like old times. I have choices where I spend my money and I have purposely sought out restaurants that give me the option if I want to wear a mask or not. This means I do not spend any money in Durham Co.Durham will continue recommending masking. This is good news. I assume the effective date will need to be coordinated with the counties mask mandate. They will not be able to lift the school mask mandate if the county indoor mask mandate is still in effect. I would assume the dates will become more clear next week, after the different boards have an opportunity to meet. With Monday being a government holiday, I would assume it will be later next week.Civilized said:
Received this AM from WCPSS.
Masks to become optional district wide
Families,
Based upon the announcement Thursday from the NC Department of Health and Human Services, we anticipate face coverings will become optional in our schools in the coming days. The exact timing of the effective date has not yet been determined.
Vaccinations remain the most effective tool against infections from COVID-19, and we encourage all students, staff and families to become fully vaccinated. Please consult your doctor if you have questions about the vaccine.
WCPSS has offered in-person instruction during much of the past two years due largely to the tremendous efforts of staff and families willing to follow the health guidance of state and local officials. While the relaxed health guidelines do not mark the end of the pandemic, it does signal a new phase for this virus.
Health officials have repeatedly stressed the importance of vaccinations in slowing spread. Our high vaccination rate puts our district on solid footing once face coverings become optional. In the meantime, if your child is not feeling well, please have them stay home and get tested.
More details will be provided once a specific effective date is determined by the Board of Education.

Nah man, he thinks it's fine for people like that to lie as long as they are on "his team"... shouldn't have even wasted your breath replying to him.Everpack said:statefan91 said:

Oh I don't know, maybe by losing their ****ing elected and appointed positions?
The ruling elites are literal Luciferians. If you doubt that, research the true agenda of Freemasonry, the Illuminati, and the "New World Order" plan. And the goal of Satan is "to steal kill and destroy". These people are the enemy of humanity. They want to destroy humanity. If you doubt that, then why do you think they promote abortion so fanatically? Why do they advocate via their "climate change" religion that we must lower human population in order to "save the earth"?WolfPacker54 said:
Lol first you guys were saying it would kill everyone within 6 months, then it was within a year, now it's within 3 years.
At what point are you going to accept that the vaccine isn't some secret weapon being used to wipe out humanity? 2024? 2030?
What would the "global elites" even have to gain by wiping out human civilization?
I was just asking, that seems reasonable. I think Youngkin in VA has shown that a lot of folks are fed up and the perpetuation of controls will be bad for candidates at the voting booth.Everpack said:statefan91 said:

Lost an Aunt last night at 74. She has been ill, in and out of hospital, not following medical advice, etc. but contracted Covid and lasted less than a week. I'm conflicted on how that SHOULD be listed on cause of death. She was unvaccinated and I do wonder if it would have made a difference.
