NCDHHS returned from their holiday break and updated the latest metrics. As a result, I have been able to update my chart showing the actual Daily Hospital Admissions, along with my projection from several weeks ago showing the Projected Daily Hospital Admissions. The projected curve hits a maximum on 1/10/22 and this is the approximate time we should begin to see a peak in the Winter Wave. Of course, the impact of Omicron is still unknown, but as cases of Omicron continue to increase, I am hopeful they will lead to lower hospitalizations than we would expect with the Delta variant.

Boosters are becoming the new benchmark for being fully vaccinated. I do not agree with it and I believe it is of marginal benefit to those who are already vaccinated, but nobody cares what I think.

The information in the Tweet below confirms some of what you suspect. Hospitals seeing a lot of Covid for young people, but not the primary reason they are being admitted.

Best friend's brother in law is a physician, and he said that every test that he's had run the last few weeks came back positive and he's never seen anything like it. Not much for serious symptoms, just a ton of people testing positive.

Stop. Getting. Tested.

Seriously, do not, unless held at gunpoint or unconscious to make the decision, get tested. At this point, with unmitigated spread in vaxxed and unvaxxed individuals, a positive case doesn't mean ***** It isn't going away. The virus is endemic and will be with us forever. If medical care is required and a doctor wants to differentiate between Covid and flu for treatment, fine, give a test. Otherwise, stay at home if you feel unwell. Stay hydrated, control your fever and symptoms with cold medicine, then go about your life after you feel better and symptoms subside.

I still can not believe we're still doing this ***** I've tried like hell to figure out who/what keeps driving this. Then, out of the blue the other night, I overheard a masked shopper with a child ask a Target employee how to get back to the front of the store. As I've said for the last 22 months, I've always known our society was dumb, but I had no idea the extent. We are surrounded by imbeciles.

So, without any evidence that air travel is leading to a significant spread of the coronavirus, Biden is considering instituting vaccination requirements to travel by air in the US. We know from earlier news today that The Elf supports having a vaccine requirement for air travel, so I expect this to be put into effect soon. Anyone who supports this policy needs to provide the following:

1. What is the data that shows this is required and is it significant enough to violate people's constitutional rights?
2. What does the data have to show to remove the policy.

The good news is it will quickly head to the courts and I am pretty certain it will be struck down by the courts as being unconstitutional. The Constitution guarantees freedom of interstate travel for all Americans and anything that restricts this would be unconstitutional.

I agree courts will shut it down. But it frustrates the ever loving poo out of me that there will be time lost until then. This is just overactive policy decisions not based on science. Ahhh I am so over covid.

So, lying to coerce people into doing something is okay for people responsible for health policies. To them, the end justifies the means, but this is horrible and definitely not great leadership. Lying is never great leadership - it is corrupt leadership. The amazing thing - people seem to be generally okay with people in government lying to them.

Maybe they needed to revise it for another purpose, since Omicron is pretty much shooting blanks… there is very little that the CDC has been honest and forthright about going all the way back to March of 2020.

My mother and nephew both were sick with viruses over the holiday. Neither had covid.

Edit to add.. we had 11 people from 3 states and 4 cities staying with us over the holiday. **** Fauci and his "guidance".
