I will wait until it is my turn and it will likely be after the new year. We did get an email today on vaccination requirements for our company. No booster requirement, but all employees must be vaccinated by 1/4/22 with both doses. They will allow exemption for religious and medical reasons. Anyone not vaccinated by that date will be put on "unpaid" leave for 30 days and if not fully vaccinated after those 30 days, they will be terminated. There is NO testing component to the policy. Get vaccinated or be terminated. At my office location, we employ over 2,000 people. I will also point out that very few of the employees are actually in the office. The vast majority are required to work remote, so this is not being done for a healthy work environment. It is only due to the new OSHA requirements that are going through the courts.

Instead of putting out a weekly COVID report this week, Meck County just said "F it, we'll get back to you in December"

Congrats on being done with COVID, Meck County?

I assume they will be lifting all restrictions now. /s

Got first dose of Moderna back in late September and was one of those really lucky folks that already had Covid but didn't know it when they got vaccinated lol Four days in the hospital and still not back to normal with shortness of breath. Have been very hesitant to get the second shot for obvious reasons. My doc made me feel a lot better yesterday, basically saying wait a few months before you get the second dose.

More power to you my friend... at least it was your choice though instead of the government forcing you to get it.

As of right now, I have absolutely zero plans to get the booster. I've started having some weird sensations in my chest (both sides) the last couple of weeks... not chest pains or anything like that, not even really a "pain" per se... but just something kind of weird that I've never felt before. Definitely has me wondering though some now.

Have my regular three month visit with my primary coming up in a couple of weeks, so I'll definitely be bringing it up.

Good to see the latest ruling from a Federal Appeals court on Biden's vaccine mandate. The case working its way through the courts is known as Brandon v. Biden. Hopefully their ruling will be upheld by courts as it works its way to the Supreme Court.

As people know, I support the vaccines, but I am adamantly opposed to the mandates from the federal and state governments.

The Alex Berenson episode on JRE podcast is good stuff. Unfortunate that he was banned from Twitter for reporting on the vaccines not working to stop the spread. Here is what he said in his final tweet.

"It doesn't stop infection. Or transmission. Don't think of it as a vaccine," Berenson said in his tweet.

"Think of it - at best - as a therapeutic with a limited window of efficacy and terrible side effect profile that must be dosed IN ADVANCE OF ILLNESS. And we want to mandate it? Insanity"

I like to think he was banned from Twitter just for being a faux-contrarian COVID grifter hack.

Much more likely he was banned for his misinformation about vaccine safety and efficacy that puts people's lives at risk.

False. I posted the last tweet he was banned for. It was correct. It doesn't matter that you think he's a grifter.

His tweets don't put lives at risk. That's ignorant cult group think.

He's got a large body of incorrect or misleading assertions on his blog, in media appearances, and on Twitter at this point.

His final misleading Tweet wasn't his worst offense but evidently was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Acting like faux-contrarian patriots aren't subject to groupthink is laughable. The "I do my own research" crowd is equally fervent, they just drink from a different communion cup.

And pretending it's not dangerous for a COVID-truthing grifter to enrich himself and make himself feel important by peddling vaccine safety misinformation to a reach that spans millions or tens of millions is flat out false.

Anthony Fauci has a large body of incorrect or misleading assertions.

His final tweet was correct. It wasn't misleading. But you continue to be the good cult follower and claim it is.

Nobody says that faux contrarian patriots can't be subject to groupthink. Typically when one can't stand on their own argument they have to make up positions others have. I notice you do that often.

It's not dangerous for him to post his tweets. It's dangerous for cult followers like you, and the people at Twitter, to be able to control the message.

Not that I agree with Berenson on everything, but there is probably more misinformation coming out of the CDC on twitter.

CDC Director in March: "Our data from the CDC today suggests vaccinated people do not carry the virus do not get sick"

Biden in July: ""You're not going to get Covid if you have these vaccinations.""

See the recent tweet about masks being over 80% effective against COVID. That is plainly false. And could lead to someone who is at risk from severe COVID complications taking actions that they otherwise wouldn't believing that they have significant protection from their mask. There is great debate as to community masking efficacy.

One of those people is a random dude on twitter.... the other is the government. If there is a standard to be held, I think one needs to be held to a higher standard.

In messaging, the government has the responsibility to be CRYSTAL CLEAR to the benefits and risks of both (in both pharmaceuticals and NPIs). And to this point they are basically used car salesmen.

While there are certainly benefits to vaccinations, failing to address the limitations, and using hyperbole in an effort to 'sell' is awful public health messaging.

Quite frankly, the amount of misinformation from public health in the form of exaggeration of intervention effectiveness and misrepresentation of data has been disgusting.

I completely agree the government's messaging has been at times innaccurate, misleading, and/or inconsistent. It's been bad at times. There's no other way to say it. I'm not here to pretend like that's not the case.

But there also has to be acknowledgment that some of that is inescapable in an extremely complex, rapidly evolving global pandemic of a novel virus. The evolution of our knowledge about behavior and treatments has been exponential over the last 22 months. Scientists, engineers, and leaders on the bleeding edge of a novel pursuit always get some things wrong. Always. It's part and parcel with being early.

Berenson basks in the luxury of hindsight; has no responsibility to make actual decisions or lead anybody; and is not involved in any of the actual work of managing the effects of, or responses to, a novel virus. He's a Monday morning QB with a really loud microphone.

It's a gross understatement to act like some rando on Twitter is just one little peon. He has a million direct followers and reaches tens of millions more on MSM, Rogan, and other popular outlets.

And even with the benefit of hindsight and with no pressure to make rushed decisions in real time, Berenson still frequently publishes misleading and erroneous information that sows seeds of doubt about vaccine efficacy and safety, and for what? What is/are his motives?

We've got vaccines that are not indefinitely durable but have been world-changing in their ability to prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death, and they are extraordinarily safe. That is unquestionable.

We've been clamoring for months here for there to be acknowledgement that hospitalizations and deaths are far more important than cases. So why, if vaccines are much less efficacious at preventing transmission after several months but are still highly protective against serious illness, hospitalization, and death, is he beating the "transmission" drum like he's bringing some hidden truth into the light?

What are the benefits of him describing the vaccine as a "therapeutic" having a "terrible side effect profile" (relative to what?) that doesn't "stop infection or transmission" (neither does the flu vaccine). Would a sober, impartial medical analysis find that statement to be clear and accurate and contextual?

The vaccines are highly, highly effective and safe. Him banging on the vaccines, instead of the mandates that are his biggest underlying problem, is completely irresponsible.

What, exactly, does Berenson see as his role when he's out there hacking under the guise of being some sort of COVID Truther Robin Hood?

Amazing how our medical leaders in the cdc still have jobs and the ability to communicate on social media if sober impartial medical analyses that are clear and accurate and contextual are so important. I guess if we silence all the dissenters we won't know if we're being lied to.

And I'd argue that Fauci, Walensky, and the CDC have a MUCH larger platform with which to spew their misinformation than Berenson. So if he needs to be held accountable, they better damn well be.

Berenson may have done some theoretical harm with a few tweets by dissuading some from getting vaccinated.

Public health has done IMMEASURABLE harm by implementing bad policies based on misrepresentation of data and then still failing to use any hindsight to walk things back.

That mask tweet from Walensky was just a couple weeks ago, so don't peddle 'luxury of hindsight' with me. Even with that luxury, public health continues to misrepresent and straight out lie about data.

I am done with the bull**** noble lies AND the use of the pandemic to drive agenda.

Which is closer to the truth?

A) "The vaccine as a "therapeutic" having a "terrible side effect profile" that doesn't "stop infection or transmission" - Berenson allegedly.

OR

B) "Our data from the CDC today suggests vaccinated people do not carry the virus do not get sick" - Walensky

""You're not going to get Covid if you have these vaccinations."" - Biden

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You want to provide nuance to the side effect profile fine.

I am not arguing the vaccine doesn't have benefits and that it doesn't make sense for a broad segment of our population to take (and, yes, some even boost).

But Walensky and Biden's statements are flat out lies.

Berenson, however disingenuous or not is closer to the truth and that what gives him power.

If public health was truthful, then it would strip Berenson's counter narrative of its teeth. But they aren't.

Public health has used its platform and misinformation to enact and endless string of useless mandates and they have a MUCH bigger stage than Berenson to affect the broader population's daily lives.

So a few people who weren't inclined to take the vaccine continue not to be because of a few things Berenson said? Who cares? How does that affect my life?

Closing schools because unions say so then cherry picking data to try and justify your decisions? Get the **** out of here.

Now tell me?? Who has done more damage to the average person with their misinformation?

The CDC and the policies built off their lies? (Because they have no media presence amplifying their messages? lmao)

Or Alex "corner of the internet" Berenson? And his followers? How much of a following does he have? Hasn't he been chased to some small corner of the internet? (Honestly don't know. Haven't seen anything from him other than people talking about him like he is the boogeyman).

Please.

I am not saying Berenson is right. I am saying he has the right to say it.

Have an issue with him? Bring him into the light, debate him with data, and show where he is wrong. Any kernel of truth he has that has been misrepresented by public health only further empowers him. (Again, for the record I have no idea what he is saying broadly these days, I am less concerned with an individual's misrepresentation than I am with institutional misrepresentation)

Chasing him into the shadows while continuing yourself to 'noble lie' and misrepresent only gives him more power.

Put all the cards on the table.

But he was definitionally and clinically correct when he said that the vaccines do not stop infection, do not stop transmission, and have limited efficacy. All of which was considered misinformation at the time. Perhaps he misspoke on "therapeutic". We'll never know "on Twitter". But alas, Fauci can still spread his misinformation.

All a dice roll. My wife fully vaxxed ( moderna) had symptomatic COVID in December. She tried to isolate in a room for a while, but we worked in the same home office the first day she had symptoms (before she started isolating). We did have casual contact during the week, I would bring her meals and such.

I never tested positive. I am also vaxxed, for whatever that is worth (JNJ).

Slept in different rooms for a few days, but the house is only so big.
