We have 4 returning established hitters to lead the offense. Wilson, Edwards, Bailey and Debo ( 2017). Any predictions on who else will step up and be a .300+ hitter or become a power hitter. In the past few years, we seem to always have a few "surprise" guys who do well at the plate. Knizner and Kinneman as Frosh come to mind. Mendoza and Pitarra had nice Soph seasons after not playing much as Frosh.

I didn't see Tatum, Debo, or Cooper in the lineup. Were they hurt? You think the lineup is better without them in it?

Gopack still lists the 2018 roster. When does Avent finalize the 2019 roster? Is he weeding out players in the fall? I assume everyone is already enrolled.

I am not sure what they are waiting on but even Duke does not have there roster out yet And they usually do have there roster out by this time so I don't know what's going on with teams why they don't want to post it yet

If the pitching comes through, this could be a Super Regional or Omaha team. Wilson, Edwards, Bailey, and Debo are all established hitters. Add in Tatum, Jarrett, Cooper, Brown and any newcomers, and the O should be fine. Lot's of potential on the mound, just need everyone to step up.

Anyone have any info regarding Juco OF Blake Mattey? One of the other sites mentioned him in a 2019 NC State baseball preview, along with Jonny Butler. Mattey was at Trinidad JC in Colorado.
