Turner went through a full workout at Nationals Park on Thursday afternoon, taking batting practice and fielding grounders with the Nationals, fresh off playing in back-to-back Minor League rehab games the past two nights.
Turner went 1-for-8 with four strikeouts in two games for Class A Advanced Potomac, where he played nine innings at shortstop in both games in a test for his broken right index finger. And although manager Dave Martinez would not commit to either way Thursday, Turner seems almost certain to be activated from the injured list for this weekend's three-game series with the Cubs.

5/17/19 Washington Nationals activated SS Trea Turner from the 10-day injured list.

I haven't followed NC State baseball too much over the years, but who would people say is the best pro to ever come from NC State? Is Trea Turner trending in that direction? I know Rodon was the higher pick but it seems like he's had to deal with a lot of injuries so far.

Louie Meadows went to my cross town rival High School. His last two years at White Oak, they went 57-1 in high school baseball. 6 guys who played on that team ended up being drafted at some point. Meadows and Chuckie Canaday both played football and baseball at State.
