I watched just a little bit of the Kentucky/Oregon State game last night. Kentucky had a guy with a handlebar mustache like Rollie Fingers. He had it tinted blue which I thought was awesome!!

Hotel room for Friday night in/near Omaha. Does it matter that much being closer to the action or is staying outside the town reasonable?

NC State Athletics receives a limited number of tickets for the College World Series in Omaha, NE. Due to this limited number, tickets are only available for Wolfpack Club Members and Baseball Season Ticket Holders to request. The deadline to request tickets for the College World Series will vary depending on the round requested. The initial deadline for the NC State All Games package and games 1 and 2 is Wednesday, June 12 at 8am.

I may be remembering wrong, but I don't think so. In 2013 we had the afternoon game on Saturday and beat UNC like 8-1 or something like that. 2021 we had the afternoon game on Saturday and beat Stanford fairly easily too. Could be a good omen that we have the afternoon game on Saturday against Kentucky.

Assuming you don't go for the whole thing…at what point do you start looking at plane tickets and rooms?

You're god staying outside of town. No redeeming quality about downtown Omaha, with all due respect. Honest if you can grab a hotel near the airport (technically Iowa), you'll be close.

Right now we are only guaranteed two games. Saturday and Monday. Now if we win Saturday then we will be there for Wednesday. Just looked at the bracket and if we win the first two we will be there Wednesday. EDIT: If we win one lose one, then we play on Tuesday. They have changed the days that you would be playing from what it was a few years ago.

In 2021, I did not go the for the first two games. After we beat Vanderbilt in the 1-0 game, about a day later I said I am going because I thought we were going to be in the finals. Booked my flight and hotel and worked on getting tickets with another member here on Wednesday confident we would be playing then the NCAA screws us on Friday night(Saturday morning) and had to cancel.

As far as hotels, you might want to look at Council Bluffs, Iowa which is right across the river from Omaha. There is at least one casino there(maybe more) and that was actually where I was going to stay because I had complementary rooms at Harrah's in Council Bluffs.

So my recommendation is it might be best to go this weekend if you are going. 2 game guarantee and that possibly could be gone by Monday.

A limited number of tickets are available to REQUEST for 2024 Baseball Season Ticket Holders and Wolfpack Club Members.


Please note the following prior to making your request:

Requests will be fulfilled based on Wolfpack Club Priority Rank order, followed by order date for non-Wolfpack Club Members. All seating is subject to availability and allocated based on Wolfpack Club Priority Rank order. If the ticket price you selected is not available at your rank, you will be allocated in seats in the next available ticket price. Each account may request a maximum of four (4) tickets per game. When placing your request, you will be able to request "All NC State Games" or game by game. If you request the "All NC State Games" option, you will be placing a request for each game that NC State plays in. With this option, you will be automatically charged and receive tickets for any games in which NC State participates. If you request the "All NC State Games" option and your request is fulfilled for Game 1, you will be guaranteed tickets for all games in which NC State participates, but will be allocated based on Wolfpack Club Priority Rank for each game based on individual game requests. I didn't book ahead of time so not going to make it this weekend. Too expensive for decent flights last minute. I did book flights and hotels (fully refundable of course) for next weekend if the Pack makes it to the finals!

I would assume Thursday since they are just getting back to Raleigh this afternoon.

Article from another site said they would be on the plane on Wednesday.

My plan as well. Already had Father's Day plans so will be doing my pre-game drinking for good luck from the beach but if we make it to the next weekend, road trip with the son!
