State is most likely anywhere from #8 - #12 .. closer to hosting a super regional than some think .

Good Lord Smith's stuff was disgusting in the 9th. Wake batters may as well have had clown noses and big red shoes on. Not competitive AB's at all. No chance. Three consecutive backwards K's for the top of Wake's order to slam the door. Just damn.

Great job battling back from down 5-1 and again 6-5. The Cozart bomb was such a huge momentum shift and then Sosa's piss missile was a damn TANK. Right fielder didn't even move.

Garret's 2 out, 2 run double was bigly. YUGE. Massive difference going into top 9 up 3 instead of up 1.

Great crowd again today. I figured the threat of rain last night and today would keep folks away but it didn't at all. Great energy.

I stood beside the Wake catcher's mom and dad during the game. Really a treat, great folks that were very complimentary of State's team and program.

They said Chase Burns had been great to their son and that Burns felt completely unsupported and misunderstood by the Tennessee staff. He's obviously a different dude from a mental makeup standpoint and they said Tenn took more of a break him down and rebuild him approach and it crashed and burned. They said his experience at Wake was a complete 180 and they were very high on Wake's head coach and staff (their son transferred in from Wofford so they had some basis for comparison).

They said their pitching staff has been super dinged this year and walks had been absolutely killer for Wake this year and we saw that in spades this series. Said Wake had 15 walks and HBP's in one of their games this season. Yikes.

What a damn series win, especially sealing top-4 seed and probably a host spot!! Just tremendous. Let's keep it rolling fellas!!
