A pitcher that acts like he's got rabies is great if he's on your team, but it does wear thin when you're going up against him.

Cozy looked a bit uncomfy with Shaffner. Maybe they haven't had much time together recently, but it was a bit awkard.
I can't understand why they left him in that long. Especially that last batter that was walked when it was clear he was losing his control. Really hope it doesn't come back to bite us.

Shaffner was awesome. There should be no complaints about what he did.

Coaches have to walk a very fine line in a game like this going up against a pitcher like this. Obviously wanting to win this winnable game, but knowing you can't burn everyone knowing how important the series is.

Shaffner went 1.2 innings and didn't give up a hit. I got no issue leaving him in for that last batter but clearly needed to pull him after the walk which they did
