We really need the Green from non-conference to show back up.

Trice cannot see the field after tonight. Really rough.

How many games is Avent ok with trice losing him? Trice and green have cost us a few. I know tonight isn't all trice fault but still. The kid has shown he can't play at the acc level

NC State looks to even the series in Saturday's matchup at The Doak. Saturday's game against Clemson is now set for 7 p.m. and will stream live on ACC Network Extra. Saturday's game was originally scheduled for 4 p.m. but was moved back three hours due to inclement weather.

Yeah I saw that, unfortunately only have an arm to spend not both

It's unfortunate game is deemed a "sellout" when there are entire chunks of open seats in season ticket sections. The row my seats are in hasn't had people in every seat all season... It's also unfortunate the once we got on a win streak and people started showing up again at the park, we laid an egg like last night. Fielding was decent, but Whitaker was awful from the start. And problem with this staff is, if the starters are awful, the middle relief isn't much better... We lack the total shutdown middle innings guy that we typically have.

There are some on Stub Hub cheaper than mine at $40, but they won't be first row and close to the plate. Completely understand if some aren't willing to pay that much.

Yeah, pitching is feast or famine, which will probably prevent us from making a deep run this year. I also feel like our hitting dies when our starters come out shaky because we lose our patience and don't take good at bats

Our in pitching in conference play has the 2nd lowest ERA behind Wake, the 2nd least number of earned runs behind Wake and 3rd in total runs given up. We're 3rd in hits given up behind Wake and Louisville and we've given up the 3rd least amount of walks. Teams are hitting .236 against us in conference which is good for 2nd overall. The staff doesn't give up a lot of extra base hits or HRs as we're at the top of the league in those metrics as well. Our pitching isn't going to be what prevents us from making a deep run this year, hell, it's what's kept us in it to this point.

Welp, our starters picked a terrible weekend to not come out sharp. It's going to have to be another come from behind win. I have a feeling Clemson is going to do to our baseball team what they did to our basketball team this year...

And already 0-3 with RISP. Bad trend that started last weekend and is continuing this weekend.

I missed the first two or three ABs of the game but sounds like suspect defense struck again and then we got the version of Dom that gets behind in count tonight. He's gotta work ahead as much as possible and as I type this he's down 2-0 to the leadoff hitter. Too many full counts. Hard to sustain that and be successful.

Definitely need the clutch gene to show tonight at the plate.
