I would agree. This is pretty surprising. Unless they think he can get all the way through and save Sam for Sunday.

IIRC, Va Tech last year was up there and UVA usually is good for some shenanigans every year.

Since they are bringing in Rio, I think you are correct. Saving Sam for tomorrow's start. Need to find a way to get out of these next two innings with what we have in the bullpen it appears. This game feels like a must win game, so I hope they get it done.

It's almost like we don't really believe we are going to win. Should have seen Sam when we took the 2 run lead. Only excuse for not playing him is if Willadsen has been ruled out
