When there is no transparency to the process, groups of men can make nonsensical decisions without consequence. You can look at a single stat in a vacuum to make a justification, but looking at everything holistically, we were at the top of those last 10 in. They got it wrong, simple as that.

There actually isnt an excuse for this one. I do think Avent should schedule better but this isnt like that Keatts year where he disqualified himself by doing the one thing the Committee has proven they will punish year after year

Yeah bc of our 4 series wins in the league, only two were in the field. Ole Miss also had four series victories and 2 were against LSU and one other team that's in the field of 64.
We also games games against Coastal and ND cancelled due to weather. Was the first question asked of the Buddie guy after the field was announced.

Isn't RPI a tool specifically designed to go deeper into a team's resume? Like I said earlier, they use metrics to justify their decisions as they see fit. Correct. They use RPI when it helps strengthen their argument, but then dismiss it as some random metric in situations they don't support their decisions.

I believe State's RPI may be the lowest to get turned away but I haven't dug through every single year of NCAA/RPI existence. it's actually this ambiguity I think the NCAA is responsible for answering for. Why are there no concrete rankings? What is the feel test? Situation in general is just silly bc the NCAA made it be silly

Honestly, it does get a little old to see every single thread on all the boards get turned into this. You tell other people to just block/ignore you so why don't you do the same? There's been plenty of times I've logged in and thought there was some big news because the number of new posts, but it's just a two page back and forth between you and someone else.
It's like you just see Henderson's takes (Boo, KK) and aggressively and obnoxiously defend them.
I will play devils advocate here real quick. We basically got no punishment for the DSJ stuff, however we squandered that with a terrible team on the court.
