I'd prefer College Park, Statesboro, and Hattiesburg in that order. Tennessee and Stanford would be worst case scenario. Greenville/Auburn wouldn't be the end of the world.

I know everyone seems to hate Greenville but at least a lot of pack fans would be able to travel with a very beatable host.

It's ridiculous that ECU gets to feast on weak AAC teams in baseball and host a regional. Honestly the ACC deserves more hosts. ECU would be a bubble team in the ACC.

Tennessee lost earlier this season to a borderline community college.

It's not like we're expected to go very far no matter where we end up. If we get paired with the top seed, then so be it.

Their SOS is 33 and ours is 26. Not that much different. They are 18-14 in noncoference play with an RPI of 5 there. Not to say I 100% disagree, but they earned hosting privileges, IMO. It's hard to win that many games in a row in baseball regardless of competition. I loathe their fans when they get even a taste of success, but you have to acknowledge what they've accomplished these last few weeks - played well when it mattered.

Would much rather be in Greenville than Knoxville. Not afraid but we want nothing to do with Tennessee this season. Forget about the kid that can throw 105 mph, the Tennessee hitters will rake vs our pitching this season. Both NC State and Tennessee have power hitters & hitters for average, but Tennessee has more solid pitching and bullpen than us.

That might be the only highlight we watch in that Regional matchup. Tennessee is solid with few weaknesses. More depth in pitching as well.
