You don't need a reason to DFA a guy. Hell his play has been bad enough that we could justify releasing him on that basis alone, his inappropriate conduct aside.
Maybe with the official legal result the Braves don't have to eat the $ ?

I don't have any hope they see that money, Ozuna would undoubtedly appeal and I think it's extremely hard to get out of paying those guaranteed deals even when legal or conduct issues arise.

If you're the Braves trying to run a professional organization and keep that clubhouse and stacked roster focused on waiting another series I think it's worth it to eat the contract and eliminate the distraction.
I hear ya. I was just trying to think of a reason why he's still on the roster.

I think the Mets are due to drop off some.

I don't think their lineup or their pitching staff are as deep and talented as ours. Hopefully that will bear out over 162 games.

Spencer Strider's oblique strain apparently was worse than initially indicated: #Braves put the rookie pitcher on the 15-day IL today, backdated to Sept. 21. He won't pitch again in regular season. They also reinstated INF Ehire Adrianza from IL and optioned INF Rylan Bannon.

Will be curious to see how free agency plays out this winter. Getting Swansby back into the fold is big. Would love another solid starter and some bullpen depth (like everyone else wants).
