The #Braves today acquired RHP Jacob Webb from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for cash considerations, and he will be available for tonight's game against Oakland. In a corresponding move, Atlanta placed RHP Collin McHugh on the injured list.

Dancing with the devil we know.

Our pen is way thinner than it was at the beginning of the season. Matzek, Jackson, McHugh down; Smith struggling a little; Jansen not his normal dominant self. Fortunately Minter has been balling out.

Hopefully the bats can keep heating up!

Michael Harris is insane.

Yeah so it appears Mike Harris may be good at baseball.

Definitely looks like a 5-tool guy so far. Exciting! I hesitate to load young guys up with such big expectations; J-Hey looked incredible early also but his bat didn't round out.

Still, Harris' speed, arm, range, and instincts look like things you just can't teach.

Especially impressive considering he jumped to the bigs from AA!! Wow

There is absolutely no way to separate his arrival with how the offense has started clicking.....particularly coupled with him at 9 and Acuna then next behind him.
And now the other bats are waking up from a season long slumber.
Of course, it helps we've finally hit a stretch of some of the worst teams in the league.

But this is exactly what we needed to get back in it -- a sustained stretch where you win 9 or 10 and then 15 of 18 or something like that.

Completely.

I think it's hilarious that the Braves announcers keep talking about Snit's team meeting as the catalyst for the streak.

Ummm…think maybe Harris being so toolsy after the call-up, the bats waking up up and down the lineup, and Strider locking down the fifth spot have anything to do with it?

Caught #Braves Ronald Acuna Jr. on @MLBNetwork Play Ball today. He discussed the design of his Nikes for home and road. The color scheme and artwork has several nods to Venezuela, including what's becoming his trademark yellow. There's a beast hiding in there as well

Where is the weakness in the lineup right now?

Also nice to have two all star level starting pitchers.

How often have you ever seen broken bones non-contact?

It's not common in baseball for sure. Jaycee Horn for the Panthers broke his foot last season while in his backpedal. I gotta believe it is a repetitive motion issue putting a lot of dynamic stress on one particular bone.

Sounds right.

I guess the good news is the breaks often heal faster than ligaments or tendons. Hopefully Ozzie is back quick!

I sure hope so, we will need him for the stretch run.

The beauty of getting Duvall (finally), Swanson, Olson, and Ozuna all going, with Harris' spark and Acuna getting his legs back....is that it takes a bit of pressure off the pitchers.

Fried was not his best tonight, and last night they got knocked around some, but there were runs to play with. Thats an awfully nice luxury, and was missing in April and May. Hope they keep raking like this.

Michael Harris II leads all Rookies (min. 75 PA) w/a .884 OPS and despite playing in just 21 games, his 4 Outs Above Average in CF is tied for seventh in MLB. Is he the next @Braves Rookie of the Year? #YoungestInMLB #LikesDoughnuts https://t.co/1NCFogucjA
