With the NC State baseball season in the books, the offseason begins quickly. The MLB Draft begins Monday night and continues through Wednesday and it is going to be a big week for current and potential future Wolfpack players. Here’s a look at who to keep an eye on.

Yes, 12th round Jucos are usually gone. We'll see.

12th rd pick 367 last year got $147,500.

Parker has already told us he's gone. Probably should. If he can't get more than 2 innings in the NCAA Regional how the heck can he improve his stock anymore next year?

Wow. Something must've happened with Villaman to cause him not to get drafted at all. I'm floored but happy he'll be in Raleigh.

Hopefully Soles will join him and start in CF.

He could've told teams that he's coming to college. Either way we just got a guy that's ranked the top player in the state by a few publications!

Agree with CLT. Hope Torres and Soles show up. Surprised Debo and Villaman weren't picked. Feeney and Klyman not being picked tells me they are hurt. Hope they get healthy the next eight months. Overall a pretty good draft, can't complain about too much.

Most likely to play for NC State next year *in my opinion*

If we could two of Justice, Walston, or Parker to be in Raleigh next year that would be awesome.

It seems like we had a really good draft as far as getting guys to skip the pros and come to school.

I would be stunned if Justice signed. Definitely a good draft considering how many guys were on the radar

That would be an about face to what was being said about him previously. I'm happy with him coming to Raleigh.

So...draft is over and here's what all went down...
Will Wilson 1st round Angels. Gone. No surprise there
Blake Walston 1st round Diamondbacks. HS kid. Gonna have big money tossed at him. Gone.
Evan Edwards 4th round Marlins. Senior, gone.
LHP Andy Samuelson 12th round Braves JUCO kid. Probably gone.
Jason Parker 16th round Reds. Gone.
Alec Barger 17th round Braves. Gone.
OF Noah Soles 19th round Diamondbacks. HS kid. Who knows here, one to pay attention to.
Andrew Blake 21st round Angels. Gone.
Michael Bienlien 24th round Tigers. Gone.
SS Jose Torres 24th round Brewers. Depends on the $$ offered here. Last year those that signed in the 24th round were around 125k or less. There were some higher than that, not many. Only 3 HS kids were drafted in the 24th rd last year and 2 of the 3 signed. He could be the next Will Wilson, ball out for 3 years and make 3 mil plus instead of 100k. My gut says gone. Would love to be wrong.
Thayer Thomas 33rd round Red Sox. He won't sign.
Evan Justice 39th round Marlins. He'll be back. Next year is big for him.

Only 1 of our 3 known JUCO guys were picked.
Only 3 of our HS recruits were picked but I'd say they were 3 important ones. Good news is we could see 2 of the 3 come to school, would be huge to get Soles and Torres on campus. I'll have to read up on the Diamondbacks draft more but they're gonna be spending some $. Can they get everyone signed from their first couple rounds??
I'd guess we're definitely losing Parker, Barger, Blake and Bienlien. Parker is a big loss, would like to see Blake back. Barger and Bienlien have probably already signed paperwork.
All in all, could've been a whole lot worse, IMO.
