They haven't yet officially released a fall schedule on GoPack for either women's or men's tennis. However, they will be having their first competition of the fall at the ITA All-American Championships tournament, from September 20-28, hosted at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, NC.

I just checked the entry list for the women (link below), and 6 of our 7 players on the current roster are entered to play both singles and doubles. The only one not playing is Michaela Laki, who is still recovering from the knee injury and surgery back in April, and probably needs 8-9 months of recovery time (hopefully able to play around January or February of 2026).

Just saw that a portion (Saturday's matches) of the draws/schedule have just been posted for the ITA All-American Championship tournament starting this weekend at Cary Tennis Park.

By the way, aside from the NCAA Championships for singles and doubles in November, this tournament in Cary is the biggest of the fall (for all NCAA D1). All the top D1 players from the entire country will be there. The whole tournament is hosted at Cary Tennis Park.

The higher ranked players get byes and depending on their seed may not play this weekend, and not until Monday or Tuesday of next week.

1st round marches on Saturday, September 20th:

Singles:
Jasmine Conway at 12:00 pm

Doubles:
Tanasie and Slama at 3:30 pm

The qualifying rounds are now over and the "Main" draw is set. There are 64 players in the Singles main draw, and 32 teams in the doubles draw.

We have 3 players in the singles main draw (Zyryanova, Broadfoot, and Tanasie) and 2 doubles teams in the main draw.

Given that most of the top programs on the country have sent players to this tournament, if you make the main draw, that's a big deal. For comparison, UNC has 4 players in the main singles draw, Duke has 3, Michigan has 4, Georgia has 4, Stanford has 3, Oklahoma has 3, and Ohio State has 4.

By my count, those are the only schools with at least 3 players in the singles main draw. So by this metric, we are a top 8 team in the country.

And if we had a healthy Laki she almost certainly would be in there. And Slama almost made it, losing a tough 3 setter today.

Schedule for tomorrow (Wednesday):

Singles:
Tanasie @ 9:00 am
Broadfoot @ 9:00 am
Zyryanova @ 10:30 am

Doubles:
Zyryanova and Conway @ 4:00 pm
Broadfoot and Osuigwe @ 2:30 pm

Tanasie took the first set against her Michigan opponent, I think 6-2. They are not showing the score on the live stream, and I'm having to audibly hear the umpire announce the score. Tanasie is on Court 9.

Broadfoot is down 2-5 in the first set, on Court 8.

Broadfoot was down 2-6, 1-0 and then her opponent got injured in the second game of the second set. I was watching on the live stream as it happened. She just fell down when going for a ball and about to swing. It was her right knee. She stayed down for a good 3-4 minutes then got it wrapped on the bench, and she came back and tried to play. But after only playing the 2nd or 3rd point after getting her knee wrapped, she fell down again. They then called the match. She stayed sitting on the court for about 3-4 minutes, before her coaches helped her limp off the court.

So Broadfoot moves to the round of 32.

Tanasie wins her match 6-2, 6-3. Tanasie is tough. She's not tall and doesn't have any big "weapons", but she moves very well on the court, and doesn't make many errors.

The player that Tanasie just beat, Lily Jones (a senior) of Michigan, is currently the #26 singles player in D1 as ranked by ITA. Tanasie is currently ranked #88.

So Tanasie looks like a good one, and probably a top 20 player in D1 right now. Her first name is Lavinia, and on the live streams I hear her teammates cheering for her and calling her "Lavi".
