Tough loss for Matty. His ride in the second looked to gas him.

The locking hands was flukey at best. That's a match he would typically win. It's bang bang whether it's locking hands or two near fall. So I'd bet he beats that guy at ACCs

Wonder how many starters go tonight. Should be a snooze fest as far as team scoring, but hoping to see some faces we don't often see.

Typically we would hold guys out but I wouldn't be surprised if most go. Vince, Trumble need matches for RPI. Some other guys need the win for ACC seeding.

Hell, Vince needs a win for ACC seeding. He might end up the 4 seed at ACCs.

I'll be surprised if we rested anyone. Half the team still needs matches to get an official RPI rating and we need wins for ACC tourney seeding.

I was thinking some of 49, 65, 74 and HWT when I said it. Thought Vince would for sure wrestle. Hope Matty is ok.

Yokum couldn't escape and lost 1-0.

Redding has started well. Up 7-0 with over 2.5 minutes of RT after 1. And a stall on Rowan for Dook.

Good to see Brophy and Redding get wins. Both transfers have started slow but are looking like NCAA qualifiers at this point.

That's a tough loss for Singleton. Had #2 Ruiz, up 6-1 in the first. Matty gets ridden the whole second period and then taken down and ridden out for the third to lose 8-6.

Singleton is better than Ruiz on his feet but he was gassed. I think Matty also lost a tooth in the first period.

Cates getting ragdolled with the Pack up 4 in the final bout.

But Pop gave Will Denny the night off at 165 and it might cost us the dual.

Cates somehow doesn't get majored in a pathetic display. State wins 19-18.

Shout out to Koy Buesgens.

Eighth-ranked NC State wrestling defeated Cornell 19-18 at home for its final dual of the 2025-26 season to finish 15-4 overall and 5-1 in the ACC.

In his 14 years at the helm, Pat Popolizio has secured 12 total seasons with a dual record of at least 10 wins, the two outlying seasons being his first in Raleigh and COVID.

The Wolfpack and Big Red split the dual, claiming five bouts apiece, proving bonus points to be crucial. NC State won the first four bouts while Cornell took the final four.
