The No. 21 NC State gymnastics team traveled to Stanford on Saturday for its first ACC meet of the 2025 season, falling to No. 18 Stanford, 197.025195.925

Despite the loss, NC State posted a season-high team score of 195.925.

Ashley Knight's career-high 9.925 on vault was the standout moment in NC State's thrilling gymnastics dual against Stanford, leading the Wolfpack to a strong overall showing.

Freshman Syniya Thomas continued her impressive rise since her debut in December, posting a new career-high 9.900 on floor after a fierce performance for the Pack. Elle Hadrick also added to the team's momentum, delivering a career-high 9.850 on bars and floor, with her season-best floor routine (9.850) further fueling NC State's efforts.

The duo of Chloe Negrete and Katie Harper contributed to the team's success with scores above 9.800 on beam.

The Wolfpack began the evening on bars, where Elle Hadrick earned a career-high 9.850. Katie Harper anchored the event with a 9.850, while freshman Ava Myers recorded a season-high 9.800.

In the second rotation, NC State competed on vault, highlighted by Ashley Knight's impressive 9.925, matching her career-high last achieved at the Maryland Quad Meet in 2024. Meg Adler and Chloe Negrete both scored 9.775, and Maddie Hall added a 9.800.

No. 22 NC State Gymnastics achieved season highs on three events en route to a strong team victory over in-state rival No. 23 North Carolina on Friday night at Carmichael Arena.

The victory was the Wolfpack's fourth consecutive win over the Tar Heels, improving the series record to 19-10. Last season, NC State scored a 196.225 in its last appearance at Carmichael Arena against UNC
The meet was highlighted by standout performances, with multiple NC State gymnasts setting career and season bests. Kailee Adomaites earned third place on bars with a career-high 9.875, while Lauren Wright achieved a career-high 9.825 on vault, tying for third with Chloe Negrete.

Ashley Knight secured second place on vault with a strong 9.850, and Krista Zultevicz delivered a fiery season-best 9.825 on floor. Chloe Negrete dazzled on floor, taking first place with a stunning 9.925, followed by Syniya Thomas in second with an outstanding routine. Chloe Negrete was named ACC Specialist of the Week, while teammate Syniya Thomas was named Newcomer of the Week as announced by the league Tuesday.

Negrete tabbed two 9.900+ performances in NC State's first ACC win over in-state rival, No. 23 North Carolina on Jan. 24. She started her evening on vault where she posted a 9.825. Negrete then competed on floor where she gave a powerful performance to hit 9.925 for her first 9.900+ of the evening. Chloe anchored the beam rotation to help secure the victory over North Carolina with a 9.900. This is Chloe's second time earning this honor for the season.

Thomas also competed on vault where she tabbed a 9.800 for the team. On floor, she gave a stellar performance to earn a 9.875, and then finished the evening on beam with a 9.875. Thomas is the first freshman of the season to earn Newcomer of the Week twice, and is currently NC State's leading newcomer in scoring.

Negrete and Thomas's efforts helped lead NC State to season highs on vault, beam, and floor along with their season high 196.225.

A packed crowd of passionate Wolfpack fans created an electric atmosphere for the top-25 matchup.

"We could feel themtheir energy, their vibes, everything," head coach Kim Landrus said. "They allowed us to continue to rise up in every performance."

NC State posted season-high scores of 49.000 or better in all four events. Syniya Thomas achieved a season-best 9.850 on vault, while Caroline Volk and Ava Myers set career highs on bars with scores of 9.825 and 9.850, respectively. Ashley Knight delivered a standout performance, earning a career-high 9.925 on floor and adding a 9.900 on vault.
