The No. 6-ranked NC State women's swimming and diving team and the No. 9-ranked men's team put on a show at the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center, with both teams sweeping North Carolina in a home dual meet. The women secured a 170.5-129.5 victory, while the men followed with 165-134.

The Wolfpack celebrated the 50th anniversary of NC State Women's Swimming and Diving by welcoming alumni back to Raleigh for a memorable evening. In a fitting tribute, the team delivered a dominant performance, securing 21 first-place finishes, six season-best times, one school record, and four pool records, solidifying their victory against the Tar Heels.

Junior Lance Norris set the tone for the men's team in the 1000 freestyle, shattering both the pool and school records with an impressive time of 8:43.60. In doing so, Norris broke a seven-year-old record previously held by Anton Ipsen, marking a significant milestone in the program's history.

Leah Shackley set the bar high for the Wolfpack, etching her name into the record books with two new pool records in the meet against North Carolina. Shackley made a statement, posting times of 1:54.30 in the 200 butterfly and 1:50.56 in the 200 backstroke. Her performance in the 200 fly also saw her reclaim the pool record, which she had originally set during NC State's dual meet against Arizona State.

Daniel Diehl had a record-breaking evening, setting new pool records in both the 200 IM and the 200 backstroke. He clocked an impressive 1:42.58 in the 200 IM and 1:39.62 in the 200 backstroke. Diehl had previously tied the pool record in the 200 IM during NC State's dual meet against Arizona State in October.
Senior Olivia Nel earned her first victory as a member of the Wolfpack this weekend, claiming first place in the Women's 100 Butterfly. In an exciting race against her sister, Georgia Nel of North Carolina, Olivia powered to the win, posting the ninth-fastest time in program history.

The Wolfpack relay teams came out on top, sweeping both the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay events. Both the men's and women's 200 medley relay teams claimed first place, each earning NCAA A cut times. The women's 200 medley relay, consisting of Erika Pelaez, Leah Shackley, Aubree Brouwer, and Olivia Nel, set a season-best time of 1:34.26. To cap off the evening, both the men's and women's 400 freestyle relay teams took first, with the women's squadcomprising Erika Pelaez, Olivia Nel, Cassie Mose, and Lily Christiansonalso qualifying with an NCAA A cut time.

Looking ahead, the Wolfpack will travel to Austin, Texas, for a highly anticipated tri-meet against Texas, Virginia, and Arizona State, set to take place on January 24-25 at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center.
