Nothing like having some coffee and watching some mods running this morning.

Remember that day.

I knew that was coming about 4 months in advance because I had an inside connection at the Hendrick BMW dealership in Hickory, and he and Rick had been up there together twice and then Jr. came back up on his own and received delivery of a custom 5 series if I remember correctly. Something I ended up being actually correct about for once… oh, and I knew the girl from the Coor's distributorship in Hickory that dated Tim Richmond, so I knew all those stories before they became public as well.

Hamlin was on the radio asking if they are scared to talk to Ty. Was funny.

Had to do some things with the wife first half of the afternoon. Just tuned in about 20 minutes ago. Cars look like they're handling better here than I remember. I guess it must be the tire? Seems like they are talking about it also...

Yea, I'm not sure I would agree with Gibbs pulling over to give Hamlin the position. That said, I don't know what protocol is anymore…

I think Hamlin was upset cause the 54 was somewhat dive bombing and just got tired of it. The comment by Hamlin about are folks scared to talk to him is telling. Tells me there have been talks and nothing happens. Just a guess on my part.

What is happening to Blaney on these pit stops? He was turning the best laps at the end of that last stage.

Glad to see Byron being far more consistent so far today, but I don't get any sense that he can actually win.

Winner comes from the threesome of Logano, Larson and Blaney in no particular order, unless something really weird happens.

I'm not sure what's going on with the 12. And yes, I see the 22, 5, or 12 winning.

Well. That didn't take long... I'm glad that Byron didn't even try to hold him off for a lap or two. Save those tires.

I wonder if teams have gone to any scuffs?
TheStorm

One of these two wins this thing. Boy. Blaney just sat back and watched him for 3-4 laps. Now he's back after it.

Logano should have the better tires though right now...

And as I type that. Welp!

Agree, I thought it was on of the better New Hampshire races. Fords looked good.

Well, to be honest I'm pretty happy that Byron was somehow able to finish third, because he never had a car capable of winning the race. Second in points, technically only -2 back... I'll take that all day.

And I somehow apparently failed to realize that four faux win Van Ginsbergen didn't even make it through the first round of the playoffs even starting with all those free unearned bonus points of his? Get rid of all these extra road course races... BTW - he finished 32nd yesterday.

Last comment on this one. That race yesterday reminded me of what Blaney is going to look like again at Phoenix. He has to be the Championship favorite.

Pretty damn good race from a fan perspective I thought. Whatever they did combination-wise to come up with that result was 100% the right call.

Over heard a pretty good conversation on 680 this morning, they were discussing old NASCAR broadcasters. My personal favorite was Barney Hall, but the conversation sure did bring back memories. Most folks don't know, but much of MRN, PRN, and even Mike Joy got their start from the great Ken Squier.

Looking at the starting line up, some familiar faces up front. Side note, haven't seen the 9 that far up front ( 4th ).
