My favorite All-Star race memories:
- Earnhardt and Elliot in the grass
- Rusty dumping Waltrip in Turn 3 (was a Waltrip guy at the time)
- Dale Sr's. Red, White and Blue paint job with the chrome numbers.

Listen, I know there are people out there that like to watch every single minute of "anything" racing - but I am no longer one of them. Doesn't mean that I won't watch a minute or two of a truck race or Xfinity - but I tune in to watch the Cup. Period. And when you push the start time of the actual "real" race until late into the night, I'm sorry, I'm going to eventually get tired of waiting and go find something else to watch.

Sometimes it's like they can't see the forest for the trees... just run the damn "real" race.


I hate late starts as well, I could take or leave it, when it comes to the Clash and the All Star Race.
I used to go the All Star race in Charlotte a lot! A small group of us would drive up in the morning and leave father the race. We had fun times…


Nice, I miss it being at Charlotte. This year's All Star Race seems like they are reaching for straws. The way I look at it is, fans don't need to sit and do math. And that's exactly what this year's event brings.
There was just something special about the All Star race being at Charlotte.
