The Pack won game one of the series 6-1 to mark its 13th straight win, the first ranked win under head coach Lindsay Leftwich, and the 13th win in an ACC Opener in program history.
The Tigers snapped NC State's winning streak in game two after defeating the Pack 8-0 in five innings.

How it Happened
- The Tigers scored first after a sacrifice fly, allowing Alex Brown to score. The at bat was almost a home run, but Tori Ensley robbed McKenzie Clark of a homer.
- The Pack responded in the top of the second by putting six runs on the board. Former Tiger Hannah Goodwin led off with a single that was followed up by a walk, a sacrifice bunt, and another walk. With bases loaded, Madison Inscoe stepped into the batter's box and was walked, forcing Goodwin to score to tie the game. Tori Ensley took her first at bat of the outing and singled to left field allowing Kaylee Lambrecht to score and give the Pack the lead, 2-1. NC State scored three more runs in the top half of the second to take a 6-1 lead.
- The Tigers were unable to score after the first inning, despite recording five more hits.
- Madison Inscoe started in the circle and pitched one inning. Aisha Weixlmann was credited with the win after pitching six innings, finishing with five strikeouts. One of her strikeouts was 2023 National Player of the Year, Valerie Cagle.
- Taylor Ensley led the Pack with two RBI's while MaKayla Marbury tallied two hits.
- The win marked the 13th straight for the Wolfpack and first ranked road win since the 2021 campaign.
How it Happened
- The Tigers registered three runs in the bottom half of the first to take an early lead over the Pack.
- NC State struggled to get runners into scoring position and get hits on the board throughout the game. MaKayla Marbury was the only member of the Pack to register a hit in game two after she singled up the middle in the bottom of the third.
- Rylee Wyman spent three innings in the circle for the Pack but Carly Maxton finished the outing. Maxton struck out Valerie Cagle in her one inning pitched.
The Pack will return to McWhorter Stadium on Sunday March 3 to take on the Tigers for the final game of the series. First pitch is set for 12pm on ACCNX.
