The Hurricanes have signed Frederik Andersen to a one-year, $2.75 million extension. There are $250,000 performance bonuses for 35 and 40 games played, and for playing in half of the team's playoff games; a possible total of $750,000. This summer's goalie market just got thinner.

Winnipeg had the best record during the regular season and were on the brink of being sent home early in game 7 against the Blues. It was 3-1 and the Jets scored to make it 3-2 with just under 2 minutes to play. They got the tying goal on an unreal deflection with 1.6 seconds left in regulation to tie the game. Jets ended up winning in the 2nd OT. They definitely had the 1983 N. C. State Horseshoe on their side last night.
