Ownership and staff always go before players unfortunately. In concept, I would prefer the players first but it would be weird to be the only one that did that. We aren't even the only team that's had this many family members on there, we are just getting **** on because we are a hockey team from the south.

Re: Nystrom, he didn't play enough games in the regular season to get on there. They had 2 more spots they could have used if they wanted to. Seeing as they made exceptions for DLo and Kooch, it seems like they were strict with either 41 GP or on the playoff active roster for at least 1 game. I would have put him on since we had the space, but I get it.

He played in 38 games instead of 41. He did a hell if a lot more than Dundon kids did to win the thing. What about the equipment manager that's been with the team since the 90's?

Has nothing to do with the South. They didn't react that way when Florida or Tampa won.

Classless move by Dundon. He a pro sports guy. If he brings MLB here, Raleigh is a pro sports town from then on. State will be an afterthought in what was always a college town.

The #Canes have announced that they'll be launching their own sports network, which will serve as the team's exclusive broadcast home moving forward.

Fans will be able to watch the games through a variety of options this season, including cable, satellite, and streaming services.

Details regarding the network's name and branding, distribution partners, channel locations, and direct-to-consumer streaming options and pricing will be announced before the start of the regular season.

Mike Maniscalco and Tripp Tracy will continue to be featured on the new platform.

The #Canes open exhibition play tonight in Sunrise against the Panthers.

Pyotr Kochetkov is in the starter's crease at morning skate, in line to get in his first NHL action since Dec. 20.

It's a great opportunity for a lot of young faces against what is expected to be a "veteran-heavy" Florida roster.

Tonight's live stream on our website will be the first of two test runs for our new Hurricanes Hockey Network production crew and graphics package prior to the official launch on Oct. 2.

A full 30-minute pregame show will start at 6:30 leading into the game against Florida.
