For the first time in the history of the program, NC State volleyball is 7-0 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play after defeating Virginia in straight sets, 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-17), Friday night inside Reynolds Coliseum.

The Wolfpack picks up its 12th win in its last 13 matches, eighth consecutive victory and fourth straight 3-0 sweep.

NC State moves to 12-6 overall and remains one of just two unbeaten teams in conference play at 7-0, while Virginia falls to 4-14 and 0-7 in league action.

Not sure about players returning, but we were not the same team last night as we have been over the winning streak. Lots of bad passes and poor defense in my opinion.

Haven't passed well most of the season. Pickrell has done a phenomenal job making chicken salad out of chicken...well, you know.

Despite NC State's Julia Brown breaking the rally-scoring era program record for career kills and Kaitlyn Kearney reaching 1,000 career kills, the Wolfpack was unable to pick up its 10th Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) win as Miami earned a 3-0 (27-25, 25-22, 25-21) victory Friday night inside Knight Sports Complex.

The Wolfpack falls to 14-8 overall and 9-2 in ACC play, while the Hurricanes move to 13-4 and 7-4 in conference action. It was just the third time that NC State has been swept this season and first in conference play since Nov. 16, 2016, a span of 13 matches.
