You gotta score in college basketball, and you need shooters. it's amazing keatts still doesn't understand this. It seems he kind of just throws random kids together and hopes for the best.

Look at the NCAA tournament. Full of teams with skilled guards who pass and shoot. Why do you think UNC made the final 4? Because they played defense? Lol. Love, that big white dude, and RJ Davis SCORED tons in the tourney. We could use some of that. Keatts has looked lost without markelle.

Definitely need defenders, but it may be a moot point anyway with keatts awful defensive system. I'm pretty sure it's never been better than 60 or 70 on kenpom or something. Texas tech and uva are good examples, but they're probably the only 2 in the country who rely more on defense than offense, and uva was absolutely horrible this past season precisely because they had no scorers. Scoring trumps all when you can do it effectively and knock down 3s. Stuff we've never done under keatts aside from his first year.

I guess what I'm boiling it down to is it really doesn't matter who we get as long as we keep running this awful system that keatts stubbornly keeps trying to force. But I doubt either of these ole miss kids will end up moving the needle anyway. We really needed dillingham.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Kermit runs a system similar to uva with how slow of pace they are, and they also use very few ball screens. Joiner should thrive and Rodriquez should have a lot of fast break opportunities. Those 2 and Nolley would be a good start imo
