I don't know how much can be blamed on the NCAA issues. I am sure it is baked in, I tend to give KK a pass for some of that as he took the job and then all that hit the fan if I remember correctly?
But, if you look back at the classes he had time to recruit (excluding the first class which he was just grasping at).
2018 Bates, Hellems, Funderburk was a very solid class.
2019- Seabron (who didn't even qualify and sat out a year)
2020- Cam Hayes and 2 project bigs
When you look at these 3 classes, we have signed 5 productive players. Bates, Hellems, and Fundy have/was solid players.
We return 4 of them this year. Everything else is an unknown. I can't say I expect us to be awful or great, probably somewhere in between which is a typical KK result.
We simply haven't been able to sign high level talent and retain those rotational/development type guys.
