Would like to get him, good size at 6'6". Have watched some Alabama, Oregon, and Baylor games this tournament. All play up-tempo, small-ball style that Keatts said he wanted to play. Among things that stand out:

• Size/length and quickness at 2-4
• Elite quickness at 1-2
• Floor spacing
• Fast decision making and passing (these teams are old, this comes with experience)
I actually don't think we are that far away from an Alabama-style roster. Here's the 8 guys who played more that 15 mins against Maryland and rough comp based on play style/strengths:

• Jahvon Quinery - 6'1": Moore/Pass/Allen
• Keon Elllis - 6'6": Seabron
• John Petty - 6'5": Daniels
• Jaden Shackleford - 6'3": Hayes off ball or Baby T
• Josh Primo - 6'6": lanky and more explosive Hellems
• Herbert Jones - 6'8": Seabron
• Juwan Gary - 6'6": don't really have a guy like this, doesn't score much just rebounds
• Alex Reese - 6'9": Fundy/Ross
If we wanted to play that floor spacing style, here's a starting group next season if no seniors return (obviously not realistic since Bates would start):

• Hayes
• Allen
• Seabron
• Hellems
• Ross
TL/DR: We need more 6'5"-6'7" guys who can shoot outside at SG to play Keatts ball like Alabama is now, so I'd happily take Lucas Taylor

6'6, 21.2 PPG, 55.2% shooting inside the arc, 3.4 steal% 2.0 block% ... but also 3.0-3.7 AST-TO and just 30.2% from three-point range. Seems like a solid player but feel like we should be going after better shooters

Last year was a 37% shooter so if we get 30-37% that would be a decent grab. His role changed this year so once his role goes back he will likely have his percentage go up. He took over 6 3's a game this year just over 2 a game the year before. I think he would be a good grab not the best but look at carlik Jones from the big south to Louisville and was one of the best players in the conference this year

2016: we offer out of high school but he joins Pitt in the 2017 class. Freshman year at Pitt averaged 9 ppg 3 rpg starting 20 games. Shot 38% from 3
2018: transfers to ut-Martin where his dad is the head coach. Has to sit out due to transfer rules
2019-20: averaged 19.2 ppg 4 rpg 4 apg and shot 35% from 3
2020-21: father unexpectedly died just days before the season starts, decides to sit out the season and ultimately decided to transfer. Keatts was in contact with him but decided to choose Indiana. Now he's back in the portal after Archie was fired and will have 2 years left. Btw he's already graduated grad school as well

I don't think we lose Moore or Hayes even though it's been rumored. Pettiford just said nc state hasn't contacted him because we are set at point guard

I'm fine with it, keep some guys but there isn't a single guy on this years roster that isn't replaceable. Why don't we just run our program on picking up sophomore transfers lol. They have used their free transfer and are proven at the college level

That's pretty much where I am. If there was ever a year to rely on bringing in a bunch of transfers, this is that year. We need some new faces.

Keeyan Itejere from Raleigh NC was a Texas U commit. 156th nationally. Probably going to be reopening due to Shaka leaving.

Doubt we would be interested considering we took 3 project bigs in the last class and none have shown much yet.

I think as James was discussing on podcast, we need 2 impact players. We can't really afford to bring in a Pat Andree for shooting skills only. Or a Sam Hunt type sniper.

We need two difference makers, probably one post player and one guard. Not to be too hard on the freshman last night, I would of said SG/Wing....but after last night, guard period.

Easier said than done, but I think Keatts need to land a Trevor Lacey, Al Freeman type player. Guy that shoots the ball but plays with high IQ, good decision maker.

Next week will be interesting

Honestly, this is where I'm at after last nights performance. Looked like a bunch of dudes that had no fight in the 2nd half. Its a long season but man they looked uninterested.
