How does this FBI trial affect recruiting for schools like Louisville? I know that it doesn't seem to have any affect right now but going forward you have to think after the testimony from Bowen Sr. it isn't looking good for them. Could this possibly lead to a Nickleberry or withers decommittment?

My understanding is that Mack was heavily recruiting Nickleberry when at Xavier. Nickleberry had quietly told our staff he would be coming to NC State then backed out on us when Mack pushed for him at Louisville. Chris Mack really turned up the heat and impressed both Nickleberry and his family with the effort.

I saw a while back that Nickleberry made a pretty big drop in the rankings, what ever was the reason for that?

I thought he wasn't that good during the aau season and he look smallish to be 6'3". I think decision making is a big problem for him. He still has a good looking shot

I didn't say what I said from any inside info I was just wondering if that could be a possibility

When I lived in Fayetteville Josh and his dad used to workout at the YMCA off of old fort bragg rd. (So would DSJ, Joey Baker and Greg Gantt). But it always stuck with me that Josh always seemed to be wearing something with unc on it. I know he silent verballed to us, but I always assumed if s blue blood of any kind, particularly UNC has a need for him and he could get early PT there then he would bolt for that program as quickly as possible. We could very well end up with him down the line, but I think that ship has sailed. Between backing out of the silent verbal, and whatever he did at Oak Hill I think he has left a sour taste in our coaching staff's mouth, to the point he likely isn't in contact with them much anymore, if at all.

I think he's pretty locked in to Alabama. I still think we end up taking a traditional or grad transfer. Wouldn't mind seeing a guy like Aaron Wiggins wanting to transfer out.

Solid Alabama commit. Just visited the campus a few weeks ago

South Carolina was closer to landing him than we were.


Gary has transferred to West Charlotte and will play his senior season with Patrick Williams.
