Democrats wanted Trump. They ran ads for him in the primary. They thought they could run their weekend at Bernie's candidate out there and their minions would vote for him again. Their minions would have , but they realized after the debate that wouldn't be enough. So then they usurped their elected candidate and installed their weekend at Bernie's 2 candidate. They tried hiding her. They kept her to a script. Few but only friendly interviews. They dug in on their antisemitic position by not choosing Shapiro.

An absolute disaster all the way around that is reflective of their poor leadership, decision making, and how much they value the American voter.

I look forward to the long winded explanation about how Nate Silver supposedly had it right the whole time again.

Republicans lost three straight elections because they kept running losing MAGA candidates out there.

So obviously you must think that was reflective of the Republicans' poor leadership and decision-making and how little Republicans value the American voter?

Interested to see what road Trump decides to take, Nixon or Rasputin. Nice to have an election decided in one night though.

Losing three straight elections, all for similar reasons, is a fairly large and consistent sample.

This election was mostly a repudiation of the Biden economy. Harris started 3.5 months ago deeply underwater in approval, and somehow got it back to almost a coin flip.

Trump winning this election was the easy part, now he's got to actually govern.

Get back to me at mid-terms, or after Vance wins in 2028, and let's assess party leadership and decision-making and valuing voters.

The good news for us all, as always, is either Trump and Vance kill it, in which case we're all winning, or they don't, and voters can go a different direction in 4 years.

Dems couldn't leave well enough alone. All they had to do was let Trump go away. But no, they had to keep him front and center. They had to take him to court, arrest him. Etc.

The fact that Republicans are likely to control the government, is a damming statement on the current status of the democrat party. It has gone so far left that moderate dems are voting republican.

Dems need to rid themselves of the radicals that have taken control.

There is talk/speculation that the Democrats may be plotting to do what some democrats (Raskin in Congress) have suggested and pursuing some sort of "legal" action (such as not certifying the election in Congress) in order to attempt to keep Trump from taking office.

That would be the nail in the coffin for the current Democratic Party. The mandate of the people just spoke yesterday. To ignore the voice of the majority of Americans who just voiced their support of conservatism would be political suicide for any Democrat who has intention of running for political office in the future.

few thoughts...

- Congrats to the Republicans. that was more than just a statement.

- i spent most of the night bouncing around between the 3 main networks and the energy shift in the studios were palpable. CNN actually did a decent job of holding together some neutrality but msnbc was like walking the green mile.

- trump could replace 2-4 justices in his next term which i think is a topic that dem's missed out on

- Polls and the MSM. were both cancelled last night?
