This election was mostly a repudiation of the Biden economy. Harris started 3.5 months ago deeply underwater in approval, and somehow got it back to almost a coin flip.

Trump winning this election was the easy part, now he's got to actually govern.

Get back to me at mid-terms, or after Vance wins in 2028, and let's assess party leadership and decision-making and valuing voters.

The good news for us all, as always, is either Trump and Vance kill it, in which case we're all winning, or they don't, and voters can go a different direction in 4 years.

That would be the nail in the coffin for the current Democratic Party. The mandate of the people just spoke yesterday. To ignore the voice of the majority of Americans who just voiced their support of conservatism would be political suicide for any Democrat who has intention of running for political office in the future.
