Just absolutely astounded this hasnt been bigger news the past few days. Kinda shows a sad state of affairs with the news media

Beautiful view from Tampa Florida 120 miles away. Can you imagine sitting on that firecracker? Rumbling sound heard 120 miles away.....what a show
🚀Congratulations to North Carolina School of Science and Math alum Christina Koch for being part of today’s Artemis II launch. North Carolina is proud of you. https://t.co/rVTG7nyyK8

Awesome show. It was my fondest wish as a little boy to be an astronaut. I had all the model airplanes and rockets with posters on my bedroom wall. I would love love love to fly something that powerful and that fast.
Very proud of my country right now.

It would be nice if just one thread on the water cooler could not be filled with crap. There are plenty of other threads for that.

1. Ignore button works great, and 2. he just can't help himself... if you want to really watch him explode (just for ****s and giggles), post something directly at him, and then sit back and enjoy.

As I was out early this morning to get gas at Costco, I saw the full moon and I was definitely thinking that there are 4 human souls on the way there right now.
It still amazes me the math and the physics it takes to get every burn of the engine the right amount of time and right direction is truly phenomenal. Back in the late 60's they had very little computing power like they have now. Your smart phone(if you have one, I do not) has probably at least 100,000 times more computing power than they had in 1969 when they landed on the moon. What they did back then was even more amazing then what is happening today.

The moon landing was real. The one that was a government conspiracy fake was the Mars landing. It was well chronicled in a documentary called Capricorn One.

I'm just glad Nixon's rotary phone was able to talk to those guys on the moon in real time!

Especially if his phone was on a party line, and none of Nixon's neighbors wanted to use
the phone….damn, I'm getting old.

I can't believe there are actually folks on the internet saying the Artemis II mission is fake. Can you believe someone even said that it's only going to be able to fly from one side of the flat earth to the other?

Quote:
- Moon landing: A similarly sized chunk of the Current GOP (36%) believes that the Apollo 11 moon landing was faked by NASA. Again, younger men are more likely to hold this view (51% of men under 50 vs. 38% of women under 50). There are stark racial divides: while only 31% of white GOP voters believe the conspiracy, this rises to 59% among Hispanic Republicans and 63% among black Republicans.

Clearly we need more critical thinking training in our schools if those numbers are even remotely true, lol.

If that's the conclusion you reach in the face of overwhelming evidence and common sense, then there's really nothing more that needs to be said about it. I think there's probably a flat earth thread out there somewhere.GuerrillaPack said:jkpackfan said:Sullivan908 said:

Yes, yes we do. The earth is NOT a rock spinning and flying through space after it shot out of a big bang explosion.
