Do you think he remembers being President during g the Afghan war? I'm believing no.

I think he meant with a second term but you do you.

Hey, anything on your party's handling of the end of the Afghan War?

so I'm not supposed to take the President at his word?

I think you knew what he meant.

Any thing on your party's actually handling of the end of the war?

You sure are trying hard to skip past what Trump said.

So what do you think he meant? You mean after the Doha Accords between Trump and the Taliban (the Afghan government wasn't even invited), where Trump agreed to pull out half of our remaining troops with the understanding that the Taliban wouldn't attack the token force remaining, in exchange for a promise that we'd pull out the rest completely in 14 months... you're saying after that 14 months that Trump could have won the war in 3 weeks? Is that what he meant?

Is this you "trying to have a conversation"? Notice you completely disregarded my question?

Yes, I watched the video. Apparently it's designed to impress shockingly unintelligent people. "Ok, I'm withdrawing, and if you don't attack the handful of poor bast**ds I leave behind, then soon after we'll withdraw completely, totally abandon the Afghan government, and never look back... and in exchange we get, ummm, nothing? But if you do attack them, man, I'm totally gonna kill you personally!!!"

You're takeaway from that is that Trump is a tough guy? Lol, seriously? /facepalm

So yeah, now can you move beyond your pointless aside and just answer the question? Did Trump really mean he could win the war in Afghanistan that he had just surrendered in 3 weeks, with something like 2500 troops remaining?

He wouldn't have gotten 13 Marines blown to pieces in his withdrawal without some payback.

Who in the hell withdraws from Kabul when Bagram is 50km north?!?

Everything we needed was in Bagram. Two long runways (thick) to land and take off heavy airplanes. Blast walls all the way around. Internet. More fuel than you know what to do with. Hospital. Housing/chow halls…everything you need for a withdrawal.

YOUR guy made those decisions. The buck stops with him.

Well let's see... leaving aside that Biden wasn't on the ground directing troop movements, GENERALS were, I'll take a stab at it:
  • Securing Bagram would have required 5000 more troops than we had in country
  • The highway to Bagram from the capitol (aka the people needing to evacuate) was 50 miles long and not secure, hence needing more troops.
  • Did I mention almost everyone that we were evacuating was already in Kabul, next to the airport?
  • US forces had already abandoned Bagram as part of Trump's Doha surrender, and reoccupying would have been logistically difficult.
Any other questions?

[sigh] Bagram was already secure. We still had forces there. You have it backwards, most of the people we evacuated had to travel south TO Kabul, but you wouldn't know that.

There are plenty of commanders on the ground at the time who have talked about this extensively. You like to pretend you were there rubbing elbows with the troops, but you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

Kabul is 4 miles from Kabul airport, and the road was already secure. Meanwhile, Kabul is 40 to 50 miles from Bagram, which had been abandoned by US Troops in July 2021 as part of Trump's agreement with the Taliban. It was "secured" afterwards by the Afghan army which dissolved prior to us pulling out, and that road to Bagram was quickly overrun by insurgents. Your genius Bagram plan would have resulted in way more casualties.

Ohhhh, you mean like the 23 service members blown to pieces in Trump's Iran (definitely not a) war so far? Funny how military deaths never count unless you demons need a partisan talking point to bang on for a few months... BENGAZEE!!!! 13 MARINES!!!

Pulling out of a 20 year war in the messiest place on Earth while the Taliban (as Trump agreed) is now raging through and the government is collapsing, and only losing 13 marines, by any sane measure makes Biden a f'ing miracle worker.

Anyway, that's not what Trump was saying, anyway. He was talking about winning wars. You clearly have a very advanced dementia translator.

You are flailing and it's borderline embarrassing

Lol, I dunno man... the "Trump is such a tough guy" video you just begged everyone to watch is preeeeeeeeeetty embarrassing.

Could you see Biden threatening to kill the leader of the Taliban…yeah, me either.

Could I see Biden threatening to kill the leader of the Taliban at the same time that he's making all of the Taliban's dreams come true? "Take over my country nicely or I'll kill you!"

No, because that sounds really stupid.

Buddy, I lived on camp alpha. There was no more rubbing shoulders than that. You have no idea what you're talking about, like usual.

I'm done talking to you. It's pointless.

Haley Stevens endorses GOP candidate in Michigan Senate race, spurning Abdul El-Sayed

DETROIT After months of proclaiming support for the Democratic ticket, Rep. Haley Stevens has endorsed GOP Michigan Senate candidate Mike Rogers over her former primary rival Abdul El-Sayed, less than 48 hours before Election Day.

"As you may have seen, our Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, Abdul, said I was no longer welcome in his campaign and that I should stay away, and he's right," Stevens said in a video she posted to social media on Sunday. "And that's why I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the U.S. Senate today."

Whoa. A little bit of common sense from a democrat?

Whew, the Dems dodged a bullet on that loon. Good riddance.

I can't believe you said that…I about fell out my chair.

I think he's talking about her actually...

…my bad, should have known better.

Indeed you should, loon is crazy speak for any moderate to right individual. Strange, though, his type seemed to think it was ok when the likes of John McCain "put country over party". Same logic doesn't seem to apply here though.
