Rest assured that #einstein444, #22yrold and #nappy are on board with this.

#Sieve, on the other hand, cannot admit to himself that he's been wrong so he's going to participate in the mutiny. #Sieve has an excuse, he watches CNN and MsNBC via firehose.

#dave has not excuse. #dave watches FoxNews and is still wanting Trump to fail.

This ain't your mom and dad's democrat party anymore…these people are flat out nuts and they are in the process of taking over the democrat party.

Watching the flat out nuts radicals that took over the Republican party bawl about a handful of New York politicians is pretty entertaining.

LOL-"handful"…..

Aside from AOC, Rashida Tlaib, and Zohran Mamdani, can you even name another DSA politician? Besides those three, who is your favorite? I'm guessing the dog catcher in Park Slope?

Sure, anyone of the far left fruitcakes who won the democrat NY State primaries?

These people make YOU look moderate and Civ look right.

Riiiiiight, a few rando NY state reps. OMG TOTAL TAKEOVER!!1 You guys are so predictable.

How many Republican Q anon wackjobs are there in the US Congress now? Most of them? Just in case you're wondering what an actual radical takeover of a party looks like.

"A few rando NY state reps"…..have you seen the guy and gal for Michigan? The girl in Colorado?

…it's more than a "few". This is a movement and they are taking over the democrat party.

Anyway, for the non-wackos out there, let me help:

There are two different political spectrums in the Democratic Party right now.

One is "ideological", from moderate to very progressive. Even the handful of DSA guys aren't really very "socialist", they just like the scary (stupid) branding for some reason.

The other spectrum is "fight". Traditionally, moderate Dems are synonymous with norms and comity, bending over backwards to reach across the aisle. A bunch of librarians who have spent decades getting their lunch money stolen. Since Bernie, and now the DSA guys, the left flank has learned from Republicans and have ushered in a new era of unapologetic messaging and brass knuckle "do whatever it takes" politics. They want to fight back.

"Fight" is what Democratic voters across the ideological spectrum are starving for. That's why Mamdani won.. not because anyone gives a crap about DSA. So that's the battle happening in the Democratic Party as we speak, pushing a vast sea of moderate Dems into Team Fight. You can still be moderate and be clear-eyed about what Republicans have become.

Exactly.

Aside from the scary branding and Trump's current favorite "communist" barb, what's the bat-**** wackiest thing the DSA commies have proposed?

More significantly subsidized health care, child care, or higher education? Reduced incarceration? Limiting cash bail? Pathways to citizenship? Public job programs?

Wow. So scary. Way worse than insurrections, voter disenfranchisement, roving masked mall cops shooting Americans in the face, getting America in totally unnecessary wars, illegal and economically disastrous tariffs, covering up rich and famous pedo rings, and never before seen levels of corruption and self-dealing, for sure. Cry me a ****ing river.

ETA: I ain't voting for a DSA candidate but talk about their actual policies and positions and not their labels and compare them to the current circus if you want to have a serious convo.

And it's moot anyway because their farther-left stances only find traction in highly progressive pockets and don't have broad national support.

lolol. Coupe of awesome things about this:

1. This was announced during the Biden Administration as part of the CHIPS act

2. It's in upstate NY to appease Chuck Schumer

3. It's been delayed for years due to environmental challenges

4. It's completion date has pushed to 2030

5. Micron is receiving massive tax breaks to build the plant

So yeah. Good stuff man.

So yeah, this was a Biden accomplishment. Which (luck of the Irish?) has now been accelerated and made far more likely to succeed by crushing demand for chips by the AI hyperscalers causing shortages for everyone else.

Now go back and read Were's "EARTH-SHATTERING BREAKING NEWS" tweet again. That's the fantasy world MAGA lives in.

you can dunk on others all you want, but this is a bad project in a bad location all because Schumer pitched a fit. It should have already been operational and manufacturing.

Micron seems to think it's an ideal location, given the existing tech corridor nearby and huge state subsidies. It's going to be the biggest fab in US history producing tons of jobs (a.k.a "good" project) and is actually ahead of schedule. All of these chip plants in NY, Virginia, and Idaho are on a similar timetable, which is probably now accelerated due to demand.

Anyway, literally ever senator and rep lobbies for projects in their districts, that's pretty high up in the job description. The "Schumer pitched a fit" stuff sounds a little derangement syndromey.

Looks like Biden got false promises.........but was there ever a REAL 46th POTUS, BIDEN? LOL

Micron announced its $250billion U.S. memorychip investment on July910,2026, when the company publicly raised its longterm domestic spending plan from $200billion to more than $250billion, with construction already underway at its massive New York fabrication site. What actually happened

  • July 9, 2026: Micron issued a press release stating it was accelerating U.S. manufacturing plans and increasing its expected investment to over $250billion through 2035, marking the first concrete pour at its Clay, New York megafab.
  • July 10, 2026: Multiple news outlets reported the expanded $250billion commitment, noting the project would become the largest semiconductor manufacturing site in U.S. history and a cornerstone of domestic AIera memory production.
Micron's move represents one of the largest single privatesector manufacturing investments ever announced in the United States. The plan aims to:
  • Produce 40% of Micron's DRAM domestically.
  • Support over 90,000 jobs nationwide.
  • Anchor a longterm U.S. supply chain for advanced memory chips critical to AI, defense, and cloud computing.
When did Micron spend $250 BILLION to build memory chips HERE IN THE USA!

  • July 10, 2026: Multiple news outlets reported the expanded $250billion commitment, noting the project would become the largest semiconductor manufacturing site in U.S. history and a cornerstone of domestic AIera memory production.
Why this matters
Micron's move represents one of the largest single privatesector manufacturing investments ever announced in the United States. The plan aims to:
  • Produce 40% of Micron's DRAM domestically.
  • Support over 90,000 jobs nationwide.
  • Anchor a longterm U.S. supply chain for advanced memory chips critical to AI, defense, and cloud computing.
If you want, I can also break down where the money is going, construction timelines, or how this compares to other U.S. chip investments.

break down where the money is going, construction timelines, or how this compares to other U.S. chip investments.

Micron's $250billion U.S. memorychip investment is a multiphase, multistate buildout stretching through 2035, centered on its Clay, New York megafab and a set of supplychain expansions across the country. Below is a clear, structured breakdown of where the money goes, construction timelines, and how this compares to other U.S. chip investments, grounded in the latest reporting.

Micron's spending plan includes fab construction, equipment, R&D, and supplychain strengthening:
  • Clay, New York megafab (core of the investment)
    • This is the largest portion of the $250billion plan, covering multibuilding DRAM and HBM fabrication facilities.
    • Construction has begun, with the first concrete poured in July 2026.
    • This site is expected to become the largest semiconductor manufacturing campus in U.S. history.
  • Domestic supplychain expansion ($3billion)
    • Micron is committing up to $3billion to strengthen the U.S. semiconductor ecosystem.
    • Includes $500million strategic financing for GlobalWafers' new 300mm raw silicon wafer plant in Sherman, Texas, securing longterm wafer supply.
    • A 10year wafer supply agreement ensures Micron has priority access to U.S.-made silicon wafers.
  • Federal support (CHIPS Act grants)
    • Micron expects over $6billion in U.S. federal grants to support the buildout
    • R&D and technology development
  • Significant portions of the investment fund advanced DRAM and HBM development, critical for AI infrastructure.
Construction timeline (through 2035)
  • 2026
    • First concrete poured at Clay, NY megafab.
    • Site preparation and early structural work underway.
    • Supplychain investments announced (Texas wafer plant financing).
  • 20272030
    • Major fab structures rise; cleanroom buildout begins.
    • Equipment installation phases start (lithography, deposition, metrology).
    • Workforce rampup accelerates (tens of thousands of construction and supplier jobs).
  • 20302035
    • Full fab modules come online in stages.
    • Micron targets 40% of its DRAM production to be U.S.-based by 2035.
    • Additional fab buildings and R&D expansions continue as demand for AI memory grows.
How Micron's $250billion compares to other U.S. chip investments
Micron's plan is one of the largest private manufacturing investments in U.S. history, but here's how it stacks up:
Micron $250billion (largest U.S. memorychip investment ever)
  • Largest U.S. semiconductor manufacturing site.
  • Focused on DRAM/HBM for AI and cloud.
  • Includes supplychain investments and longterm wafer agreements.
Intel ~$100billion (Ohio + Arizona + New Mexico)
  • Intel's Ohio "Silicon Heartland" project alone is ~$2028billion.
  • Total U.S. expansion commitments approach ~$100billion, but spread across multiple states and technologies (logic chips, packaging).
TSMC ~$65billion (Arizona)
  • TSMC's Arizona fabs (three phases) total ~$65billion.
  • Focused on advanced logic nodes (3nm, 2nm).
Samsung ~$17billion (Texas)
  • Samsung's Taylor, TX fab is ~$17billion, with potential future expansions.
SK Hynix exploring U.S. HBM investments
  • No comparable megafab announced; Micron's plan outpaces Korean rivals' U.S. spending.
Bottom line:
Micron's $250billion dwarfs other U.S. chip investments in scale, duration, and domestic supplychain integration. It is the largest memorychip investment ever announced in the United States and positions the country as a major DRAM/HBM producer for the AI era.

If you want, I can also break down job creation, expected output capacity, or how this affects U.S. national security and AI competitiveness
