Thoughts on both of these….

One, I've felt that this is a military action that needed to be fought years ago (not Iraq, not Afghanistan). And it's disingenuous to accuse Trump of dragging us into a war in which the other side has been waging against us for nearly half a century. As for gas prices, that's a consequence of war, and people complaining about it are a poor excuse for their parents/grandparents who had to endure meatless Mondays, wheatless Tuesdays, and gas coupon rationing.

As for the Pope, you're right in that Trump should ignore him. He's as clueless as his immediate predecessor and I don't know that we'll ever again see a Pope as great as John Paul II, and even he couldn't reverse the rot of Vatican II and the liberalism that's been taking over the Roman church. But Trump needs to let proxies fight the Pope.

But hey, Trumps is putting us in great company with all those other nations leaders who criticized the Pope.....checks notes..... Russia and North Korea. Great company!

I disagree they both have the almost the exact same messages of peace. That's not Pope Leo wanting the Iranian people not to free themselves of these evil leaders, it's more of a response to the rhetoric of Trump saying he's going to wipe them off the face of the Earth.

You can disagree with it, but the Pope is not delivering a political message. It's a really great time to piss off Catholic and evangelical voters right before midterms.

I really think he's doing it on purpose now, because he wants to be impeached and go through that slog because he likes being in the mud. I guess he's going to get his wish to the detriment of all of us for the next two years.
