Very well, very productive, just getting it in every single day, every hour of the day.
On playing college football with former teammates...
It's very exciting. I can't really tell y'all how I feel, because I just got to show it on the field.
Once you guys were playing catch again, did it feel like stuff from high school was clicking right away?
Yeah, I can say from high school, little league, 7-on-7, everything. So, like, I just feel, I just feel new.
What's the best part about playing with your high school quarterback again?
He’s a leader, he can run, he’s very smart, and he’s very physical. For how skinny he is, he’s very physical.
What's it like with you, the rest of the guys that you grew up with, Davion or Chance, what's it like having everyone together?
Having everyone together is like, I can say having, like, I wouldn't say a seal for a buzzer, just having, like, just support in everything you're doing.
You know you got support, you got someone to count on, to lean on. If you're doing bad, they're going to lift you up. If they're doing bad, you lift them up and stuff like that. It's just support. It's all support, I can say.
What's your take on Raleigh, NC State campus football? What do you like about the area?
I love the campus. There's, like, I can feel the breeze, and I can feel the sun at the same time when I'm outside. So, like, it's a good breeze and sun. Good people, good academics, good classroom, good teachers.
You like the bricks? There are a lot of bricks.
Yeah, it is a lot of bricks.
What's the biggest thing you learned about yourself at Miami over the past few years?
Growth, getting bigger, stronger, and just being a student again.
What about the football, the mindset within the program? Does it mesh well with you?
Oh, yes, it matches 100 percent well. Like, the work ethic, the little things, tucking your shirt, make sure your head up, no yawning, make sure your feet are behind the line, every single detail is what you want to do.
What do you feel like are the biggest areas where you want to grow this offseason to be able to thrive next year?
I want to grow in everything, because you're not too good for nothing, like I said. So, everything, from plays, running, blocking, even making plays without catching the ball, running off the corner to make the shot, to see what can come out of it.
