I have zero issue with anything Trump has done with respect to Iran. I hope we succeed greatly.

How do you know that when he hasn't made a case to Congress or the American people for whatever we're doing now?

The constitutionality of this action aside, none of us have a ****ing clue what the plan or goal or exit strategy is, and most likely neither does he.
what am I supposed to know other than the Iranian people have taken to the streets to beg us for help. I see no reason why we wouldn't do that.

OK, so make the case to Congress and the American people for that.

He's telling us we're at war and to expect American casualties.

Especially if he's going to yet again try to circumvent Congress, the very least he can do is explain what the **** it is he's doing.
im not going to penalize Trump for not doing something that every President since Truman has ignored.

I don think there's a more cut and dry reason why we are doing this. It should be no surprise to anyone in Congress and only the looney tunes section of Congress doesn't understand that.

He doesn't have to have congressional authorization…the War Powers Act says he has to notify congress within 48 hours of committing forces to hostilities (which he did) and it limits engagements to 60 days unless congress approves an extension. I know you guys had no issue when Obama did the same exact thing.

I agree with this, given that even with the slender majority in the House, he probably could have gotten the declaration and second, Iran has provided ample grounds over the years for us to go to war.

Yes, but I don't like that everyone including the administration shrinks from "boots on the ground" should that be necessary, and having congressional authorization actually gives the administration some significant cover to proceed as deemed militarily necessary.

I like the element of surprise. I also like a single CIC, not 535 of em'. Congress can probably reign the POTUS in after 60 days. If there's a rogue POTUS, then its impeachment.

We're going to learn that the 'City within the City' is in up to their eyeballs bankrolling the Iranian regime.
'Forever-Wars' needs a 'bad guy'..........to go along with the 'good guy'.
